The only upside with how things are going now is as the variants get more contagious they also get weaker and less deadly. Right now we are seeing more deaths now because of total numbers but as new variants become dominant eventually deaths will drop.

In that story Penguin and Catwoman steal all the Covid Vaccines in the world, which governments have been stockpiling and force everyone to be vaccinated, saving the world.
