Uh, no. The Protestant countries just haven’t started exploring and building trade routes yet. And I think it was an easy/West line that went through South America. While Spain and latter Mexico claimed large parts of what is now the United States, the native population was concentrated more in the now Mexico’s territory. Spain didn’t really do settler colonies but sent make explorers who intermarried with the natives.
