Music is personal. I remember easy listening stations were supposed to keep customers relaxed and employees productive. There was one piece I hated I called “The Cowboy’s Funeral.” I had the image of a cowboy being buried on a lonely prairie with the cowboys standing around his grave with their hats in their hands. A coworker knew the title and called the station and asked to stop playing it. She was told many listeners found it “inspirational.”

There was “Sleepytown Girl.” It had a line, “You’ll learn to cook and to sew. And you’ll love it! Love it! You’ll really going to going to love it!”

At Christmas time some employees go mad with a all Christmas playlist.

As a white woman I lived in area which almost completely white. I would see a black person. Sometimes people would become tense if the was a black man walking along the road. Nowadays, when I go shopping, it would be weird if I didn’t see any black people.

I know if a white woman commits a murder, I won’t be stopped by the police. If a black man commits a murder, all black men are suspect.

We have had one black president so far, but some people were very disappointed in him. Phyllis Schlafly, who I could call a fellow local, said, Why not try a white man next time?” Her selection was Donald Trump.

One day he told me a story about a boy and girl taking a bath. The boy licked the the girl’s ding dong and the girl licked the boy’s. Mentally at the time, I thought that doesn’t make sense. I never seen him in third grade.

As an adult, I think he may have sexually abused. Was he exposed to porn. Why didn’t I see him in third grade. Did his family move? Was he pulled out of public school? Did CPS or law enforcement get involved.

I heard an interesting story about a family man she knew. Sometimes friends gifted her daughter with baby dolls. Baby dolls have been a classic girl toy for decades. However, when his daughter received this type of doll, he threw the doll away. He was concerned that baby dolls encouraged girls to get pregnant at an early age.
