Hell, even the portable RV fridges use electricity, that’s how the motor and compressor work, turning electrical energy into kinetic energy. They just use a lot less, because they’re a lot smaller.

But yeah, basically, a modern kitchen needs electricity. Want hot water? Even gas water heaters require electricity, unless you get an old furnace.

Well, kind of, technically, they do? The electricity is required to, but they do also use a highly compressible gas to actually do the cooling. Compress tightly, and it heats up immensely, able to release that heat quickly because of temperature difference. Once at room temperature, it’s then allowed to expand, dropping the temperature immensely, run through coils against the walls of the refrigerator/freezer compartments, taking up a great deal of heat from inside to be taken back to the compressor, recompressed, and the cycle starts over again!

Of course this is not natural gas (methane), and the whole process requires a fair deal of electrical energy to run the motors and compressor.

Yeah, about what I could find, that for plasma itself it can be up to a year, for red blood cells seems to top out at 45 days. Platelets significantly less (like less than a week), but that’s also for separated platelet storage, not for full blood transfusion.

The concept of alpha is woefully simplistic when used to describe any animal. Even wolves, the first to have alpha and beta popularized, it turns out the “alpha” wasn’t actually in charge of the pack, but just the parents of the pups assuring their pups get taken care of. If you see in “alpha” pair in a wolf pack, you also see the young. Come back a year or two later, find another litter of puppies, and you’ll likely find another alpha pair. There are two ways in which humans use vulnerability as part of common mating rituals. As you talk about here, basically, the predators who seek prey. People who want someone as their “partner” who is vulnerable, specifically to them, making them and easy target for control.

The other is the vulnerability we expose to those we trust, to show our trust, and to show where we most need our partner to be there for us.

I guarantee Anglin wants none of the second. He would not ever intentionally expose his weaknesses to anyone else, even though he constantly does it online when he’s trying to prove his strength, and if someone trusted him with their weaknesses he wouldn’t be there to help protect but rather to exploit. I just hope he’s as incapable of exploitation as he is posturing, but I somehow doubt it.
