OMG I almost spit my beer out laughing when I saw the email address. “UniversalOm432Hz”?? LOL of course, I guess.
Ramble alert, lol…
If you or anyone else reading this doesn’t know what that’s all about, there’s a bunch of people who say the musical note of A above middle C should be tuned to 432 Hz instead of the standard 440 Hz, for a variety of “New Age woo” kinda reasons. As in, it’s a “healing frequency” or it “resonates with the frequencies of the universe” or some other similar sort of nonsense. If you’re somewhat of a “music theory nerd” like I am, and you look into that stuff at all, you can quickly see it’s utter bullshit. I mean, it’s not a huge deal if they want A to be 432 Hz and still keep all the other notes in the same relation to that. OK, you want your music slightly tuned down, big whoop. The ridiculous part comes when they then try to mess around with the frequencies of the other notes to make them “better aligned” or whatever. One of my favorite YouTubers, Adam Neely, did a pretty good video explaining that, but the gist of it is, if you actually try playing some music in the tunings they suggest, it sounds horrible, lol.
