Well, the Christian view is that Man is a fallen creature, full of sin and bent on wickedness, destined for an eternity in Hell. Naturally, you could never trust a human's opinion of morality, it would be as false and misleading as any other product of a human's reprobate mind.
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5 KJV)
Only God is perfect, therefore his laws are perfect, and we are to cleave to his Word as our only light in this fallen world.
Just as any unredeemed sinner is worthless, so our personal opinions of morality are worthless and not to be trusted. Only God's morals can be trusted, as set forth in the Holy Bible.
To describe this Christian worldview as fundamentally unhealthy is, I hope, quite obvious. But that's what fundamentalist ministers are teaching their flock: follow God's rules and never decide right or wrong for yourself.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV)
