It's one of the first things that raised serious red flags for me as a kid, that because of the alleged rebellion of a son to a father, it would be just to punish all humanity and "creation" for thousands of years, especially after having tricked him on purpose with a lure. The only reason supposedly being that everything must bow to the claimed creator and that somehow that would be rightful, no matter "divine" caprice. Unethical injustice, twisted with ridiculous justifications. The same kind of nonsense happens in Job's play, in relation to the sacrifice of Jesus... And then well, if that sacrifice really worked, supposedly it's all over, we don't have to care. For this reason, there are good and honest Christians as well as those who use religion for their evil ends, then in some cases, evil men with psychiatric god complex who actually believe to have divine support. Having no idea that Osiris will punish them forever in the underworld (sarcasm here, of course)...
