That does sound like a kind of interesting setting for some sort of sci-fi thing…but if the inhabitants of one of these craters somehow believed they were in fact on a spherical planet, that would just make no sense. Either the inhabitants are total idiots, or the person who’s making this word up is.

Whether they were “going woke” or not, I can probably think of a good number of franchises that had critically and/or commercially unsuccessful installments or adaptations, yet they continued to make money. To name one example that I’m familiar with, there’s the DragonLance series of fantasy books. There was a DragonLance NES game that I believe is cited as one of the worst NES games of all time, and much later, an animated movie based on the first book…which went “direct-to-video” so maybe you can guess how good that turned out, lol. (I saw it once, and have absolutely no desire to ever see it again) Yet various authors kept putting out books in the series, so I guess it must have not “gone broke” yet!

Trans rights means if you see a man go into a women’s restroom and you object by calling police or security YOU might be arrested or kicked out.

Last Friday, I saw a concert at the local community college. (the Queen tribute band Simply Queen, who totally kicked ass, btw!) I noticed that there were signs displayed in the restroom that said words to the effect of “you are free to use the restroom that best aligns with your gender identity.” So, yeah, if you called police or security objecting to that, you’d be going against the clearly stated school policy.

Trans rights means your right to use correct sex based pronouns at work or school may be challenged leading to loss of work and other opportunities.

Or maybe you could just address or refer to people the way they want, even if you don’t think it’s “correct”? That seems like a very easily avoided problem.

Trans rights means seeing nonsense phrases like “her penis” in the newspaper on a daily basis.

I have said this before, but while I don’t agree with all of it, I do kinda respect the idea of the “consistent life ethic.” Where you’re against the death penalty, euthanasia, assisted suicide, and abortion and the like. It seems a little inconsistent to me when someone says they’re “pro-death penalty” while most of the people who call themselves that would say they’re “pro-life” when it comes to abortion.

I watched a few games of various sports over the weekend, it seems like they were all doing just fine. The NFL team I’m a fan of, the Detroit Lions, basically have selling out home games for a while now (due in no small part to the fact that they’ve been very good lately!).
