Christopher had appointed himself 'Chief Judge of England and all Dominions', while Martin and Sean Harper were 'Sheriffs'. They sent a series of threats to the Coroner, and went to the Court, equipped with handcuffs, intending to kidnap the Coroner. For this Christopher was sentenced to 7 years prison, while the others were given 30 month sentences."

Well, I guess because we all have busy lives apart from watching Trump. There are plenty of good things to immerse ourselves in - jobs, hobbies, family, friends. That doesn't mean we ignore him, and we should certainly respond as we can to what he does; but we don't have to focus solely on that.

I was a journalist covering politics for 20 years and now I work for a local government. I have maintained for a long time that, for most people, your local government will have much more day-to-day impact on your life than the Feds. I live in a red-leaning-but-changing state and a major Democratic city. There are lots of things we can do locally to dilute Trump's impact.

What's the alternative? He was elected. Do we stop the peaceful transfer of power - as he tried to do in 2020 - thereby ending our two-century tradition?

If power falls merely to whoever is strong enough to take it, that would guarantee violent dictatorship from here on out.

We will oppose his individual acts as they occur, then try to retake Congress in 2026 and the White House in 2028. At least he's already old and unhealthy.
