1.) The protestors who mocked ICE wearing inflatable animal (and unicorn, and Godzilla, and banana) costumes mostly weren’t furries, it was all about disrespecting them in a way unlikely to provoke violent retaliation.
2.) They’re bringing up the “litterboxes in school” and cat-ear headbands nonsense again.
3.) “Gender-confused” is code for transgender and non-binary people, and they’re trying to portray furries as being a subset of those. It’s true that LGBTQIA+ people have disproportionate representation in the furry community, but there are plenty of cishets.
4.) The whole piloting planes thing is because Tommy Tuberville somehow found out about a failed website which is obscure even in the furry community, which was meant to be about building connections between furries in the airline industries, which apparently never garnered any real interest. And then blew it completely out of proportion.
I don’t think this particular anti-furry flare up is going anywhere any more than previous ones did, but it does lend some more credence to the idea that once they’re forced to largely abandon their anti-trans crusades, furries are next.
