narcissistic, lying wife
People need to be honest about their sexuality from the start. That is non-negotiable. If they’re not mature or strong enough to do that, they have no business being in a relationship.
Yep, that’s why we pan and bi people do anything, because we’re just a bunch of lying narcissists... But even though we’re lying about our orientation, we still need to tell Random about it so they can accuse us of a bunch stuff like being narcissists. Cool, dude!
Also, I grew up somewhat in that rural setting. I can vouch for that fact that listening to jokes and stories about what people think about your kind and what they would happily do to “a queer” if they ever ran into one (not one knowing one is standing in front of them) is terrifying and makes for a potentially very unsafe situation.
I suspect you’re too young to understand what an absolutely heinous and selfish act of betrayal this would be to Winry and their marriage
I first tried coming out in high school. It went badly and ended with me having to come out to my mom because my ex was going to tell her for me because he was mad at me, and my mom couldn’t take it and shoved me back in the closet. So, when I tried coming out again, I was in my late 20s and also in a very long-term a committed relationship. Was I being dishonest with this person? In your mind, I’m guessing, yes. But in my world, there are grey areas of “major thing that is really important for those that are important to me to know but I need to tell them this thing when I know I can trust they won’t hurt or kill me or ruin my life”. You also have to have accepted yourself in the first place to start telling others about it. I don’t call protecting oneself from unreasonable harm because our society doesn’t understand them being dishonest.
Also, would you feel that same sanctity about their relationship if it was a situation where the man left the woman for a younger woman? Or would that not count as an “absolutely heinous and selfish act of betrayal” because “biology”?
Go fuck yourself.
