Yeah, Gohmert never fails to disappoint when you want a congressman to do something stupid.
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2019/8/26/1881492/-Crazy-Stupid-Republican-of-the-Day-Louie-Gohmert-2019-Update - A nice rundown of all the crazy stuff he did from 2013 or so to 2019.
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2019/12/11/1905101/-Louis-Gohmert-tries-to-sneak-the-whistleblower-s-name-into-the-Congressional-record - From during the impeachment, when he repeatedly tried to slip the name of the whistleblower into the congressional record so that the right wing nuts knew who to hurt.
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2020/3/6/1925059/-GOP-Reps-Gohmert-and-King-spew-right-wing-deep-state-conspiracy-theories-on-floor-of-U-S-House - The time one of the Republican whistleblowers died and Gohmert joined with white supremacist Steve King of Iowa to claim that the “Deep State” was behind this as part of the Qanon conspiracy. Of course. This is the first time someone tried to enter the fucking Qanon conspiracy into the congressional record.
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2020/3/10/1926084/-Louie-Gohmert-Dumbest-Man-in-Congress-Refuses-to-Self-Quarantine - The time he was exposed to Covid-19 and refused to self-quarantine, insisting that it was a hoax and so he couldn’t spread it. And he was nice enough to take a group of his constituents on a tour of Congress while potentially infected! (Luckily for him, he didn’t end up catching it)
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2020/3/16/1928028/-Gohmert-Blocks-the-House-COVID-19-Bill - The time he decided to single-handedly stall the passing of the Covid-19 stimulus bill because he could. It forced all of the other congresspeople to fly back to Washington DC to vote on it, endangering them and the people they had to interact with. Plus it delayed emergency funding for an extra week, not that the jackass cared…
And his latest display of idiocy:
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2020/6/24/1955703/-Republicans-literally-try-to-drown-out-Judiciary-hearing-on-AG-Barr-by-pounding-the-dais - In the middle of a hearing on Bill Barr’s conduct from prosecutors he fired, Gohmert decided to try and drown out Mr. Ayer’s statements by POUNDING ON THE TABLE WITH HIS FISTS REPEATEDLY. When called out on it, his response was “There's no rules about when you can make noise.”. And then for good measure, he claimed that another prosecutor, Aaron Zelinsky, should not be allowed to speak because he was calling in remotely… Because he had a newborn baby at home, and he didn’t want to have to quarantine away from his wife and new baby for two weeks. But Gohmert insisted that’s because he was too afraid to face the “hardcore” Republican questioning team (yeah, right, hardcore). To be fair to him, this was clearly the decided-upon talking point of the Republican questioning group, because every single one of them got it in.
