The quotee is talking about the USA’s white males, so let’s consider the white males.

It’s only white male members of Trump’s base who care about matters like whether or not the administration is “cucked on race” (i.e. not racist enough). An ordinary white male from the USA who might vote Republican would be more concerned about COVID-19 (as @JM1234 says), urban strife, whether he’ll still have a job next year and whether or not he could hold his nose and ignore the fact of the President being an embarrassment to his nation.

Given that the majority of people who vote do not particularly like the party they are voting for but simply dislike the other party more, there are far more of the latter than the former. It is entirely plausible that this election did hinge on the votes of white males. Just not for the reasons the quotee says.

He also changes his position on a regular basis and has abandoned or given up on much of the platform he ran on, which could be viewed as a good thing overall but does make him the opposite of “strong, resolute, decisive, unintimidated, bold, etc.” He is easily influenced - not only by people like Putin but also his peers such as Macron, from whom he got the idea for a military parade after M showed him one.
