Wow Theresa and Racheal59....shut down, depressed, feeling "dead", distracted.....I thought I was the only one feeling like that lately. I'm finding it extremely hard to care about anything anymore except the return of Jesus. I have a genetic predispostion to depression so that may be a good part of it....but the distracted 'not here' feeling is extreme...I nearly walked out of the grocery store without paying three times in the last couple of weeks. I can be absent minded :hehee but that was ridiculous.

And when I talk to my Christian friends and they have no clue about what is going on in the world because they are not watchers and so they either laugh at me or criticize me for "putting my life on hold", it makes me want to avoid everyone and hole up in my little apartment with RR and really put my life on hold.

I did just order a couple hundred gospel tracts though, the ones with beer on the front - I live next door to a bar so I have plenty of opportunity to plant them. That's easy enough to do.

Do you know what I so love about all of this?

I love how Almighty God baffles the experts!
The same thing happened in 2004 when Florida was hit by 4 hurricanes. God proved the "experts" so wrong with all 4 hurricanes. Everything they predicted with such confidence, didn't pan out anything like they had said. The "experts" were left [scratching head emoticon]

This is how it's been since we entered the year 2000. With GOD proving mans wisdom and technology WRONG. God is in control! And I just absolutely love it!

Should two Christians divorce? I honestly do not think so. Can you pray that God will teach you to love your husband? Yes you can. Don't think I don't understand your pain. My husband was unsaved for 15 years of our marriage and I tried to divorce him and God blocked it. I begin to pray that God would teach me to love my husband. God did. I had to love my husband before God saved him. This does not mean I don't feel for your pain. I know that your path is not easy but God can and is willing to be with you as you walk it.
Don't give up on your marriage. One thing you have to do is stop trying to change your husband and start praying that God will show you what needs changing in your own life. Because your husband is a Christian, maybe he will be willing to go to marriage counseling, but even if he doesn't, you should seek guidance from a Christian counselor.

if Scripture told us that we're going to go through it, i'd have a bomb shelter started in my back yard, i'd be stocking up reserves like mad, collecting Bibles, tracts...etc.

Basically i would like to think i'd be planning properly for a long, hard, petrefying 7 years.

Thankfully, though... God's way of doing things is to take us up to be with Him, He always does the right thing, and i'm grateful He's assured us that the right thing is for us to not be here when it all goes down.

First of all, my son works in customer service and I hear all the time how it is the customers who are rude, not the staff. So I guess it goes both ways. I work in a place where arrogance knows no bounds. Homosexuality is run amok, and the f-word is literally in every other sentence spoken. Good is called evil and evil is called good. Hard work gains no rewards. If you e-mail pornography and talk about sports all day you are part of the in crowd. If you try to be a Christian example you and God are mocked. Oh yes, I am most definitely very ready to go home. It’s a dangerous, evil world out there and I too find myself staying away as much as possible by only going out when absolutely necessary. A sad thing I know, but I am so weary of it all. I follow world events from the side lines and am patiently waiting for the sound of the trumpet and the call to “Come up here.”

Recently, I have had some health issues that have kept my world pretty small. Last Sunday, after church, I had the occasion to visit several stores that I wouldn't have normally gone. I was absolutely shocked by how people were behaving and what they were selling. The amount of books on Satanism and Wiccans just shocked me, and these books were directly acrossed from the Christian section. The Christian section which use to be huge is half the size it was! Then the behavior of the people in the stores. The children standing up in the carts and screaming and the parents simply ignoring them. While I admit that my life is a little sheltered, I still felt that I went to sleep one night on one planet and woke up the next morning in some other horrible place! When did this all happen?

Earth Day is part of the environmental/green movement which ultimately is a worship of nature. Christians should have nothing to do with this. That is not to say we should not try to be good stewards, but the environmental movement is ultimately anti-christ.

I am on another board (secular)

I was reading a thread about prayer and how people get offended when people say that they will pray for them.

As I was reading some of the comments back and forth, I was just amazed at the out and out hatred or what appears to be hatred towards God. As well as the out and out non-belief for no good reason.

There was NEVER a time in my life, that I DID NOT believe in God, or that I did not love Him. Even before I was saved I loved God.

So my question is this, as children did these people not believe in God? As children don't we just naturally KNOW there is a God? What happened to that knowledge?

I don't understand non-belief, in anything for that matter. Especially in the western world. I noticed that a lot of the "so called" intellectuals (s) are the ones who do not believe. I think there is so much scientific evidence to prove the existence of God. Why do they not see it?

I was watching a discussion with a few atheists recently, and it brought up something that I often fail to remember. The question was asked if the atheists believed that atheism would ever be spread across the world, if they would ever "win" all their fights. Half of them said, "No, but I think it's something worth fighting for," and the others answer something close to "With time, we might win." There was no "Yes, our cause will win."

If someone asked you, "Do you think one day, Jesus will be known across the world, will win all His fights?" how would you answer? I hope you'd answer with a plain and simple "Yes" because that's the truth. So remember, next time you think you've lost or think there is no hope in winning, those thoughts shouldn't endure for long because we're on the winning side.

QUESTION FOR ALL

I have been to a few weddings lately were God is completely absent from the ceremony. The Bride/Groom do not want God, Christianity, or any form of religion mentioned in anyway. They want a strictly secular, practically atheistic ceremony.

The question is: Does God view these marriages as "legit"? Is the couple REALLY Married in Gods eyes? Are they living in a constant state of adultery even though they made a vow to honor and love each other forever? What about marriages in other religious traditions? Do Islamic, Buddhist, etc marriages "count" in God's eyes, or are they null & void when it comes down to it.

My Wife and I were just curious

(and yes, we got married in a Church)

NO "religion" can ever be truly sure they are going to heaven. Muslims and such have to do so many good deeds.. problem though: they never know how many, how often and such. Nobody paid the price for their sins in their "religion" so they have to make up for their sins with their good works. Well, if that's so, who makes the rules on what is good enough? Who makes the rules on which ones are the worst ones? Society? No, God does. God has Ten Commandments to tell us. Even Muslims know the Ten Commandments and realize they can never be good enough. ONE LIE sends people to hell (all liars will have their part in the lake of fire). ONE of any sin sends people to the fire.

So, basically, those "religions" will do no good on Judgement Day. That's one thing I've asked people who say, "well, I'm a Baptist and go to church sometimes" - I said to this one guy, "well, you walking into a Baptist church doesn't make you any more a Christian than it does me if I walk into McDonald's makes me a hamburger... so, when you stand before God on Judgement Day, what will you say... that He should let you in because you're a Baptist?" That got his attention; he walked off with a tract and realized he was not heaven-bound.

Anyway, my point is, many will say to Jesus on that day, "Lord, Lord" (they will actually CALL HIM LORD!) and He will say, "depart from Me you workers of lawlessness."

There are going to be a lot of "religious" folks who think they are going to heaven ending up in hell.

Satan is so powerful that he can cause people to hate you, persecuate you, and even kill you. Yet, even with all of this, not one hair on your head can be touched if God does not permit it. Where then is Satan's power seen? It is seen in the will of God. Satan can only do what God permits him to do.

See how powerful God is?

We were at my daughter's school concert and all the kids were up front singing, and my 3 year old pointed to a spot (up front) and said, "There is Jesus." My husband and I just looked at eachother. We asked a few times and he kept pointing to the same spot and said the same thing. It was like he was kind of annoyed that we couldn't see what he was seeing. Then my son looked up to the ceiling and tracked something across the whole thing. I asked where Jesus was and he said ,"He went Bubbye."

He also told us that Jesus gave him a hug and kiss the night before when he was in bed. What do you think??!!

Hi guys,

I am here today, and I know that I am such a coward. I totally need your advice, so please, please help me. I do not know how to handle this.

My Boss and his wife are both Agnostic. They are very nice people, and we get along great - so long me do not go on the religious path. It happened twice that my boss' wife took the Lords Name in vain infront of me. He never does it, he does not agree with my faith, but he respects it. His wife on the other hand apparently does not care.

The first time I was was so shocked, it felt she punched me in the stomach! I then thought if it happened again, I would tell her not to do it, and then... Yesteday - she did it AGAIN, and what did I do.... just stood there in shock and not saying a word.

I feel so ashamed towards my Lord and to every Christian. Could you give me any advice how I should handle this. She is quite a difficult person, and I do not know how I should approach her.

Waiting for any advice. I feel so terrible for not standing up for my faith, but I want to let her know to never, ever do it again. Want to correct my cowardness!

I saw this movie [Expelled] last night. I am amazed something this good actually made it to the screen. This hits the jugular vein of the academia crowd by mocking (outright mocking!) the only things they can hold on to: their intellect and their pride in being so sure they are "right".

It basically shows that Darwinism = Nazism in a very powerful way. The attacks on Ben Stein and this film will be non-stop. They have to be. If academia loses this fight, their funding will dry up, and they know it.

You are always hearing the term "must see". For this film, it's really, really true!

We had a girl in our youth group that started coming. She was all goth, clothes, make-up finger nails, hair... They just loved on her and share that Christ loved her infinately more. She accepted Christ and then started a movement in our youth group to challenge all of the other students to have a bon-fire to burn all the things in their lives that didn't honor Christ. She was under conviction about her music, movies, magazines, etc. They all had a huge fire and burned all the things that they felt kept them from growing closer to Christ. God did all that... not us. We just loved her as closely as Christ loved her.

Mr. Mannn #fundie rr-bb.com

He can't come to power yet.

Indeed, I don't think even satan knows who the AC will be. Sure satan has his favorite candidates in protected positions, BUT satan has no idea of the hour of Christ's return. Nor is satan omniscient.
People-even satan's candidates for AC-do unpredictable things, They could die at any time, or worse...get saved. The best satan can do is keep a few favorite candidates in mind.

So when satan gets tossed out of heaven for the last time, the rapture occurs, and the Holy Spirit removes the restraint on evil, satan will know the jig is up. He will head for the nearest surviving candidate (I'm expecting chaos following the rapture), and posses him. Wala: the AC is on the scene.

I cannot believe that the AC is a creepy kid groomed for evil all his life like in the movies. That would mean that satan knows something even Jesus doesn't know, the hour of his return.

Does that make sense?

amy_elizabeth #fundie rr-bb.com

I think the first thing we must understand is the depravity of man. We are not good people. I saw you said there are so many "good people." But Jesus said no one is good, no one but God. Jer. 17:9 says our hearts are deceitful and wicked. God doesn't see His creation as good people. He sees us as sinful, unholy, undeserving human beings that have chosen to go their own way... without Him. He chose to save some to be with Him when they die. That's a merciful God. I'd recommend reading the book, "The Holiness of God" by R.C. Sproul. That might help some. If we understand how sinful our sin is and how holy God is, then it makes sense that He will throw people into the lake of fire and why we all deserve it, even the nicest of people like little old ladies.

We lost my father-in-law nearly 2 years ago to cancer. He did not believe. He heard the gospel, but chose to reject it. As far as human standards go, he was a "good" man. He was a truck driver most of his life. He helped hundreds and hundreds of stranded motorists (especially in the days before cell phones), paid for meals for the hungry and cold, would literally give a stranger the shirt off his back to keep them a little bit warmer, etc. You could call him in the middle of the night because you needed to talk. He NEVER complained about working, helping, or anything. I am SO blessed to have known him. However, he made his choice concerning his eternity. About an hour before he passed away, my husband "preached the gospel" to him one last time (the first time he had done that as he was a new believer himself). He was pretty incoherent and nodded that he understood and nodded that he wanted to believe Jesus died for our sins (it's not too late until you've taken your last breath from what I understand). We are not sure if he was coherent enough to "get it" or not. At that point, he was nodding at everything we said. Right now, I take comfort he was. We won't know until we get to Heaven. Salvation comes from believing Jesus died for our sins, not our works. However, that doesn't give us a free ride. We still need to do good works.

I don't see "authorities" going into the homes of unwed pregnant teenagers and taking the kids from their parents. I think it is hypocritical for the government to treat "religious" people differently. How about the thousands of girls that have abortions every year at Planned Parenthood? They are required by law to report abuse (rape, incest, sex with minors by adults etc..) and have you ever heard of even one case? There is abuse in all walks of life, should the state take the kids from every church member when one member is accused of abuse?

See, I had been struggling a lot for over a year, trying to figure out what God wants me to do with my life. I kept praying and praying, and trying to look for what God might have wanted me to do. College? Getting a job? Well, I was looking, keeping an eye open, but no doors were opening up for me. Even though I kept on praying and praying.

Finally, one day when I was sitting on the back porch of the trailer (I live in a trailer park) I was praying again, asking God what He wanted me to do, where He wanted me to go--or if maybe He just wanted me to stay where I was, at least for now.

Then it's like I heard these words in my mind, "You will not leave this trailer until the Rapture occurs." I was... taken aback, to say the least. I then asked God if it was from Him, and I heard the words again in my mind.

I was very skeptical at first, but as more time has gone by, the more it makes sense. God isn't opening any doors for me right now, and it's obvious that I am needed right where I am.

Anyway it was just so amazing... God has put me right where I am for a reason, and I was totally blind to it before, because I wanted my own way and to do my own thing. But also... what He told me... it makes me wonder if the Rapture could happen soon.

Children in our public schools are being told to 'bow' as it was reported in a thread here at RR. Each April, there is a day of silence held in many public schools to 'honor' homosexuals who have been purportedly persecuted or killed because of their sexual orientation. Parents are killing their own children in horrendous ways, and we have to hear about these atrocities. Since 1973, abortion has caused innocent blood to be shed in USA by the millions.
People suffer daily on their jobs, because of holding to a high of morality and honesty. Yes, Christians are already suffering greatly, and like Lot, back in Genesis, our 'righteous souls are being vexed day by day' as we cry out, "Come quickly, Lord Jesus."

There are several countries mentioned specifically in the end times propheies. And in those places where they are mentioned and described every country and/or region can be identified EXCEPT the United States. Nowhere in the scriptures you are quoting is any specific country mentioned except the target of the AC, Israel. Add to that the fact that no respected bible scholar admits to finding the United States mentioned specifically in scripture. In fact the whole of the North American continent is missing from scripture and I don't remember seeing the South American continent mentioned either.

There are any number of very good reasons for the Americas being missing from end times prophecy. The most imminent and obvious is the nuking of one or more American cities. If you think a couple of airplanes and a few buildings caused chaos in the economy just think what a couple of nukes, or dirty bombs, hitting wall street, Washington D C, the Port of New York, and maybe a couple of industrial centers would do to us. All it will take for that to happen is for our leaders to keep their heads buried deeply in their butts like they already seem to be. It was said about 9/11 that it wasn't a lack of inteligence that allowed it to happen but rather a lack of immagination. I haven't seen any proof that that has changed since 9/11.

She has been taught by the school system to go out into the world to give everything she has to them as well as recycling everything to the extreme. When I tried explaining to her how much gas it costs to drive to our nearest recycling center and how much trash we'd have to have piled here waiting to be recycled in order to make the trip worth it, she didn't get what the problem is. The place looks like a trash dump. I'll tell her to throw something away, and she'll hide it somewhere. Whenever I find something that was supposed to go into the garbage that she hoarded away to recycle and throw it away, she pitches a fit like I'm so horrible for throwing something away. After a milk container that wasn't even rinsed out has been stashed somewhere, it gets really smelly...if you know what I mean. I live nearly 40 minutes from a recycling facility. I don't want to collect garbage. But,,the nukes will hit the 'sin' capitals of this nation, just as Katrina wiped out the 'Oldest Sin Capital in the US'. Look to Los Angeles, San Fran, Chicago, NewYork, Las Vegas, Atlantic City, etc...

And if there are Believers there at the time, it will be because they did not LISTEN when He told them to leave. In these days we need to be in fellowship with Him more than ever before in our lives, and learn to heed His warnings, for doing this may well enable many more to be Raptured than if we just try to do it our way[winking smiley face]

Also, the Believers that happen to get caught in this go straight to the Presence of the Lord, anyway [smiley face]Talk about a quick turnaround, [winking smiley face]LOL The body quits functioning, they 'done falled over', then Rapture, BANG! No time for a grave,,LOL[smiley face]

Where did he learn this kind of dedication~~maybe he too senses he belongs to the Creator. Animals are always proving how really intelligent they are.
