Well, the OP's agenda is clear - and it has absolutely nothing to do with saving the lives of children. It's all about preserving access to firearms.
Before I say anything else, I'm going to point out the stupidity of having underpaid teachers acting as bodyguards for students. Are the imbeciles floating that ridiculous idea planning to award teachers hazard pay?
Our intelligent and humane original poster also suggests a two-tier education system. Kids whose parents can't afford to homeschool them or send them to a private school can go to public schools and risk being shot up, for freedom; whereas on the other hand, kids whose parents can afford other options can learn - or "learn," depending on the bent of the parents - in safety and security.
I live in a province where people are relatively well-armed, particularly with long guns, but we don't see the kind of gun violence here that you see in the United States. One reason is availability: obviously, if some deranged nutjob can't get his hands on an automatic weapon, he's not going to be able to use it to perpetrate a school shooting or a mall shooting or a shooting from a hotel window, etc.
But it's imperative that they stop abortion in America, because zygotes have as many rights, if not more, then the women who carry them. After they're born, however, then they're just collateral damage in an ongoing battle to preserve the Second Amendment.
