Yeah, I heard. I’d say “my sympathies for being ruled by such honorless Peta’Q”, but I’d honestly dare to claim that if Putin’s assault happened next year or so, my country may very well have been in the same boat as Germany. Several Belgian officials were contemplating (and pushing) to be more dependant on Russian Gas rather than our own Nuclear energy… For some inane reasons. Let’s hope this wakes them up.

Seems to me that there is a recurring line of reasoning with right-wing Americans; “if gun violence isn’t solving all problems, you simply aren’t using enough of it”. And apparently that does not just apply to street problems, but to international politics as well….

They are incapable of holding more than one thought in their heads, and don't realize that other people are unhindered by this limitation.
And it's not the left that have been cheering Putin on, or denying that the invasion is happening, or claiming that Putin, Trump, and JFK, Jr have banded together, Defenders of the Earth style, and are currently engaged in a secret war against Ming the Merciless and his hordes of Tzimisce flesh-crafters.

And if I recall properly, it was Donald fucking Trump who had his head up Putin's ass for four years. But, again, these people can't keep more than one thought in their heads at a time so they conveniently forget that.

Yeah, their solution is “shoot it”. Whether it’s a living thing or an object or an idea. Shoot it and when that doesn’t work shoot it again and then when you’ve run out of bullets and you still have a problem, just ignore it and pretend like shooting it solved things, or blame Jews or LGBT people or women or POC.
Here is the think if you think China taking over smaller countries but you are okay when Russia does it you are a hypocrite. Yes the same it true if you are okay when China does it.
It is bad for any country to do it.
There’s short term issues and long term ones.
Climate change is a long term issue, and one of the solutions would have solved both this issue and Putin, by reducing dependency on natural gas.
Let’s hope the disastrous 2011 Aubry-Duflot agreement and the ensuing enabling acts, which caused the closure of the Fessenheim Nuclear Plant, set the future percentage of nuclear-sourced electricity to 50% and planned the closure of 14 reactors, will be set aside permanently, since giving more money to Putin is, at this stade, amounting to treason.
