The Founders steered clear of "Biblical truth" when creating a government (remembering the many interChristian conflicts in Europe) and purposefully chose life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness--not the destruction of all other cultures by their own.

(I know the U.S. deliberately destroyed Native cultures, but that was not a goal set forth in the founding documents.)
