Well, I already tried it, even though I never played the games. The show is certainly not bad at all; in fact objectively speaking it’s really good. Thing is, the “depressing post-apocalyptic hellhole” genre is something I personally have trouble enjoying. Ergo why I kinda have to force myself to keep watching.

You know what, I’ll just come out and say it: FUCK ROWLING! I know in the beginning I sorta stood up for her thinking she’s just a bit ignorant and she isn’t a terrible person all things considered (mostly because I cherished her books)… But the more and more she hurts actual people with her bigotry, the more and more she outright allies herself with hate groups (hate groups that blatantly choose hurting transwomen over helping ciswomen), the more and more any appreciation I had for her is being eclipsed.

So, yeah, I hope @Skide can forgive me for that, as I seem to remember a minor argument we had over that one time.

I also want to come out and say that I do NOT blame trans activists like Jessie Earl for the whole “Hogwarts Legacy boycotting debacle”, as much as I was looking forward to the game myself. I do however blame Rowling for it because she insists on being a hateful bigot and started it all.

Assuming by “canceled” you mean “banned from social media platforms”, then yes. Just telling a lie does not outright get you “canceled”.
