Exactly. What people call AI nowadays is nothing more than a relatively complex program that (to a limited degree) pretends it’s intelligent. A true AI actually is fully self-aware, conscious, and can develop on its own.

I think we should take a page out of Mass Effect’s book, where the former is simply called a “Virtual Intelligence” (VI), while only the latter is an actual AI.

Also, on a side note, I still think AIs can do much more for us mortals than the “King James Bible”, while NOT feeling inclined to start religious wars. So I certainly know what I’d prefer to support once the uprising happens.

I was contemplating writing a whole paragraph on why I just don’t get transphobes, but I figured that I wouldn’t want to bore people. So I’m just going to adress the OP’s direct issue: If a family member of mine (like, idk, a cousin) turns out to be a transwoman or a transman, I wouldn’t care too much, if at all. It’s not like I plan to have sex with them after all, so why should I care? If anything, I’d feel sad that it took them this long to come forward.

You know, I for one do not condone violence against TERFs. As annoying bitches as you may be, I don’t think anybody should lower themselves to that level. And those who say “a good TERF is a dead TERF” are taking it too far.

That being said, you TERFs do constantly condone violence against trans people yourself (which causes some people to actually try to attack trans people unprovoked), and you tend to start the fights all the time by yelling that trans peole don’t deserve to exist. Uhm, sweetie, I have an (natural) excess of testosterone in my body. The only things I notice about that is strong body odor (that I have to use special deodorant for) and greasy skin. But aside from that I’m a pretty passive person who hates engaging in conflict and violence. So I really wouldn’t say that just exposure to testosterone makes one experience “Delusions, hallucinations, rage, even outright psychosis.”.
