I’ve seen this “Vrillon” and “Ashtar” stuff before here, at least one time, if not several, probably from the same person, I’m guessing. It always makes me chuckle, because she’s totally stealing the script from something I’ve heard of before, the famous ”Southern Television broadcast interruption” which happened in the UK in 1977. Basically, someone hijacked a TV signal in southern England and played a message which wasn’t too different from that post. There’s a pretty good video covering the whole thing on the “Oddity Archive” YouTube channel.

I grew up near Detroit myself (which hasn’t had a Republican mayor in over 60 years) and yeah…it’s Detroit, lol, it’s kinda earned its reputation over the years. Despite a good amount of improvement in recent times, there’s still some areas you just wanna avoid, from what I’ve heard. But I don’t know how you can say it has “no redeeming value to America”! What the hell does that even MEAN anyway? Just what does a big city have to have to have this “redeeming value”?

I dunno, anyway, in about 5 months, I’m going to a concert at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, and from all I’ve heard about it, it’s a pretty nice venue. Say what you wanna say about Detroit, but they got some damn nice arenas/stadiums at least, lol.

This is just kinda mostly the old fundie argument I’ve seen a million times: the old “anyone who doesn’t think the same things I do doesn’t believe in absolute truth, blah blah blah, etc.” I’ve always found that kinda funny when Christians use that against atheists, because as I’ve said before, I used to be all into Ayn Rand (who of course was DEFINITELY an atheist, to say the least), and basically what her whole philosophy came from was that, that there IS “absolute truth.” A=A, as she put it. (taken from Aristotle, I believe) I dunno, maybe it’s a case of the “horseshoe theory” in effect there, since there’s been a lot of Christian conservatives who take inspiration from her stuff.

It says right here in the Wikipedia article about her, she was a high school teacher from 1991 to 1997, teaching classes that included Law, Ethical Issues in Medicine, AP Political Science, and US History and Government. So yeah, I have no idea what Greene is trying to get at with that one.

I do find him complaining about the marijuana dispensaries in Michigan totally amusing, for reasons not really related to what he’s saying, lol. I’m from Michigan myself, currently living on the outskirts of a relatively small town…who, when recreational use was made legal in MI, decided to not allow dispensaries within their city limits, but the township to the south was OK with it. So, of course, when those places finally started opening, you can probably guess where some of them popped up at. Just about as close to the city limits as they could possibly be!

“Most”??? Uh, I don’t think so. According to Wikipedia at least, there are currently 10 Jewish owners of NFL teams. There are 32 teams in the NFL. I have talked about this before here a little bit at least, I consider myself a male feminist, yet I play “adult games” with male protagonists that are probably much “worse” than those in any of the games he was talking about. It’s almost like I realize they’re supposed to be FANTASY and not something to consider as a role model! (In my favorite one, the developer has the said the MC is modeled at least somewhat after Rance from the Rance series. I’ve never played any of those myself, but I understand he was always presented as kind of an “asshole” and that kinda checks out, lol)
