According to USAFacts, in 2022 White people made up 58.9 percent of the U.S. population, while Black people were 12.6 percent.

Yet according to the Council on Criminal Justice December 2023,
Black males were eight times more likely and Black females were four times more likely to die by homicide in 2020-2021 than their White counterparts.

Statista reports that the number of White murder victims in 2023 was 7,289, while Black murder victims numbered 9,284.

And from the National Library of Medicine at NIH "Disproportionate burden of violence..." February 2024:
The most recent race-specific age-adjusted homicide rates are 33.6 per 100,000 for African American persons ... 3.3 per 100,000 for White persons

I realize I am reporting murder rates by different years, but the data was a little difficult to find. Still, it is easy to prove that White people are much less affected by homicide than Black people.
