It's been said that Native Americans are winning their land back through legalized gambling rather than warfare, what with tribes using their profits to buy local farms (especially from farmers who gambled them away).

And since Indian reservations are Federal land, state and local taxes don't apply, so local communities end up transferring their wealth to the tribes.

Admittedly it's hard on the mostly white farmers, but oh well. No one forces them to gamble.

Preach! I really try to live by the “live and let live” philosophy(*). If what someone else does somewhere does not affect me in any way, nor hurt anyone innocent, then I do believe that I am in no way qualified nor priveliged to tell them they should do otherwise. Every living being has the right to self-determinate; and taking someone’s personal choices away, even for the bestest of intentions, never ends well.

(*)Both because that’s just who I am, and because I’ve seen/heard/read enough examples of what happens when people do feel the need to impose their own lifestyle upon everyone else. That, and nobody will EVER be “conformist” enough to please such meddlers anyway.
