Los Angeles Mayoral Candidate Rick Caruso Declares He’s Not White Because He’s Italian
Damn, is it actually happening? 😱
spoiler
“Ethnic” Americans — meaning whites from southern and eastern Europe — could conceivably have become a category if activists had pushed for it. Patrick Buchanan toyed with the idea. Pat Buchanan mused about the political benefits of making an explicitly “ethnic Catholic” choice for Supreme Court nominees:
Not blacks, not Jews, but ethnic Catholics — Poles, Irish, Italians, Slovaks, etc. are where the ducks are. We ought now to be canvassing the best legal and judicial conservative minds in the Italian-American, the Irish-American, and the Polish-American community
The 1980 Republican Convention included this as part of its platform:
Millions of Americans who trace their heritage to the nations of Eastern, Central, and Southern Europe have for too long seen their values neglected. The Republican Party will take positive steps to see to it that these Americans, along with others too long neglected, have the opportunity to share the power, as well as the burdens of our society.

Nah, of course not, but this was too much of an opportunity for that joke for me to waste it. Also, I originally wanted to have the text together with the photo as a translucent background, but I'm not that skilled at this to do that, and also I'm just lazy to be honest, so, you guys can at least imagine it.
he is fully aware of how the vast majority of Italians feel about Blacks. Today Italy is doing their best to keep Black immigrants out.
Are they, though? And even if yes, would he, or you, even know for certain about that? From my experience, whenever people try to speak authoritatively about events happening thousands of miles away, in places whose languages they don't know in the slightest, they are almost always comically wrong.
But, we can try a game. You tell me about what you think is happening in Italy and what Italians are like, then, I'll call my family members actually living in Italy, ask them about all of that, and we can compare what you say with what they say.
Too many Whites deny their Whiteness this way. It keeps us separated when we are really one people, one tribe. The White People. The White Tribe. The White race.
To the vast majority of "Whites" on the planet, those unitary concepts are completely meaningless and they don't identify with them in any way, except maybe in an extremely shallow and surface-level one when pressed by an Anglosphere dweller. Which, is basically how the other groups worldwide do so as well. And, as the very statement you guys are reacting to shows, even in the only place where "White" identity exists in any real sense, the USA, there are "White" people who simply don't identify that way. Deal with it.
The leftist Irish say it about themselves too.
Which nicely reinforces the point I made above.
It has been claimed that Éire is a distant relation of the Sanskrit word ā́rya.
By whom???
leprechauns
Not sure if using this word to refer to Irish people is new, or I just wasn't paying attention.
Probably related to the way the so-called WASP treated them.
Probably?
Remember that the KKK was focused on anti-Catholicism, more than on a real racial basis.
Damn. Talk about speaking of the Devil. Just a month ago, I made fun of the fact that, despite obviously idolizing them, as they were everything modern WNs wish to be in terms of power, influence, and numbers, they never seem to bring up the facts of what the Klan's second iteration in the 1920s was actually about, imagining them as some "racial warriors" with roots from all over Europe, instead of the, in addition to how obviously racist and anti-Black they were, highly anti-immigration, anti-Catholic, and generally xenophobic group it actually was. Just a few weeks ago, I talked about it, and now, one of them actually mentions it. Funny that.
