The Left desires NO conversation, rather a conflagration of destroying what they hate...US. They crave power, they abhor life. they crave collectivism and motivated to utterly eradicate capitalism. The Left exists on a plane of thought and existence that has no intersection with those who differ in view. Their desire is to destroy those they oppose and it's high time we understood that cold brutal reality. Will it take many of us going to the wall and facing their firing squads to finally realize that they were not kidding?

It’s June, when one can be forgiven for thinking we live in the United States of LGBTQIA2S+.

Old Glory is, at best, supplemented with, and sometimes supplanted by, the pride flag in all its varieties.

The flag, which has become more and more unsightly, is ubiquitous. Its increasingly elaborate jumble of clashing stripes — whether seen in a store, at a ball game, or on U.S. government buildings — is a reminder to get with the program, and that the program is always changing.

(too long to post all of his rant, but he goes on about how the pride flag/progress flag is ugly and he doesn’t like how there are different kinds of flags for Bi, Pan, Trans, NB etc)

Like the LBGTQ+ cause generally, the flag has become increasingly esoteric and obsessed with identity politics — there’s always another letter or another stripe. But what better representation of a movement that has gone down the rabbit holes of such bizarre causes as insisting that males compete in women’s sports and minors get life-altering “gender-affirming care” that other advanced countries are turning away from as a terrible mistake?

Yet, it flies everywhere as though it were a quasi-national flag with universal popular assent. Even U.S. government buildings here at home and U.S. embassies abroad are bedecked with the flag. If Republicans ever get unified control of government, they should ban this practice. The government shouldn’t be promoting boutique causes, and we already have a flag that includes everyone, that doesn’t require constant ideological makeover, and that isn’t an eyesore.

The Stars and Stripes should be sufficient for this and every month.

I’ve never had any illusions that scientists are other than human, often wrong and silly, and occasionally guilty of deliberate fraud. (I recently wrote about a recent major scientific fraud here, and there have of course been many others.) Science is a human enterprise, so that’s what you’d expect.

You’d particularly expect it in a field where (1) the data is extraordinarily difficult to collect and interpret, and (2) big political interests are vested in the results. Climate change meets both criteria. I have stayed clear of the topic for just those reasons. I’m pretty sure I have never written anything about GW. When it first came to prominence I looked through some of the claims, said to myself: “Youse guys are going to measure the mean temperature of the entire atmosphere to a tenth of a degree, then make corresponding estimates for twenty, fifty, . . . years ago? Uh-huh.” I also noticed the things everyone else who looked at the numbers noticed: e.g. that they showed the planet actually cooling from 1945 to 1965, when big swathes of the world were industrializing like gangbusters and pumping out corresponding amounts of CO2. Uh . . . huh.

This has always seemed to me an area where nothing much definite could be said — certainly nothing definite enough to commit great tranches of public money. If I’ve ever said anything about GW, that’s probably what I said, since it’s what I think.

[From "Why Not Fewer Voters?"]

Much of the discussion about proposed changes to voting laws backed by many RepublicM%Mans and generally opposed by Democrats begs the question and simply asserts that having more people vote is, ceteris paribus, a good thing
[…]
Why shouldn’t we believe the opposite? That the republic would be better served by having fewer — but better — voters?
[…]
All eligibility requirements risk excluding somebody who might make a good voter, or a better voter than someone who is eligible[…]That doesn’t mean we should have 16-year-old voters — I’d be more inclined to raise the voting age to 30 — it means only that categorical decision-making by its nature does not account for certain individual differences
[…]
I’m not convinced that having more voters is a good thing in any case, but, even if I were, that would not be the only good, but only one good competing with other goods
[…]
One argument for encouraging bigger turnout is that if more eligible voters go to the polls then the outcome will more closely reflect what the average American voter wants. That sounds like a wonderful thing… if you haven’t met the average American voter
[…]
Voting is, among other things, an analgesic. It soothes people with the illusion that they have more control over their lives and their public affairs than they actually do
[…]
Progressives and populists like to blame lobbyists[…]but the fact is that voters got us into this mess

[From “There Is No Epidemic of Racist Police Shootings”]

The persistent belief that we are living through an epidemic of racially biased police shootings is a creation of selective reporting. In 2015, the year the PNAS study addressed, the white victims of fatal police shootings included a 50-year-old suspect in a domestic assault in Tuscaloosa, Ala., who ran at the officer with a spoon; a 28-year-old driver in Des Moines, Iowa, who exited his car and walked quickly toward an officer after a car chase; and a 21-year-old suspect in a grocery-store robbery in Akron, Ohio, who had escaped on a bike and who did not remove his hand from his waistband when ordered to do so. Had any of these victims been black, the media and activists would probably have jumped on their stories and added their names to the roster of victims of police racism. Instead, because they are white, they are unknown.

The “policing is racist” discourse is poisonous. It exacerbates anti-cop tensions in minority communities and makes cops unwilling to engage in the proactive policing that can save lives. Last month, viral videos of pedestrians in Harlem, the Bronx, and Brooklyn assaulting passive New York Police Department officers showed that hostility toward the police in inner-city neighborhoods remains at dangerous levels.

The anti-cop narrative deflects attention away from solving the real criminal-justice problem, which is high rates of black-on-black victimization. Blacks die of homicide at eight times the rate of non-Hispanic whites, overwhelmingly killed not by cops, not by whites, but by other blacks. The Democratic candidates should get their facts straight and address that issue. Until they do, their talk of racial justice will ring hollow.

Women-Only Rape-Relief Shelter Defunded, Then Vandalized

Despite boycotts, threats, and a slaughtered rat nailed to its front door, this Canadian women’s shelter soldiers on.

This week, staff of the Vancouver Rape Relief and Women’s Shelter (VRRWS) in British Columbia found messages such as “Kill TERFS,” “F*** TERFS,” and — what else? — “Trans women are women” scrawled across their windows and walls. (“TERF,” for “trans-exclusionary radical feminist,” is a generally derogatory term for feminists who do not believe certain things about transgenderism.) This is not the first time something like this has happened. Three weeks ago, a woman seeking the shelter’s services was alarmed to find a dead rat nailed to the front door.

“The women who come to our support groups are rape victims and battered women,” says Hilla Kerner, VRRWS’s spokeswoman, who has worked at the shelter for 14 years. “One of them said to me, ‘Haven’t we suffered enough?’”
Founded in 1973, VRRWS is the oldest rape-relief center in Canada. Their staff is a collective made up of 20 women who serve around 1,200 women every year. Some of the staff are paid, others are volunteers, but they all do a lot of voluntary work. “Because you cannot change the world Monday to Friday, 9 to 5,” Kerner explains. “It’s a full-time life.”

“Sometimes, this term refers to a child who does not conform to sex-based stereotypes. Instead of leaving said child alone to experiment with toys and outfits as is only natural for children to do, the users of this term prefer to project an adult ideology onto him or her, then confuse him or her by saying that he or she really is the opposite sex.

“Other times, ‘transgender child’ refers to a gender-dysphoric young person — that is, a child who has clinically significant feelings of distress associated with his or her sexed body. In that case, instead of loving and accepting that child as he or she truly is, and providing him or her with safe and ethical psychological and emotional support, the users of this term prefer to set him or her on a pathway to irreversible harm at an age when he or she cannot possibly consent to permanent medical and surgical changes.”

There was not a single adult male on the school premises when the shooting occurred. In this school of 450 students, a sizeable number of whom were undoubtedly 11- and 12-year-old boys (it was a K–6 school), all the personnel — the teachers, the principal, the assistant principal, the school psychologist, the “reading specialist” — were female. There didn’t even seem to be a male janitor to heave his bucket at Adam Lanza’s knees... Think of what Sandy Hook might have been like if a couple of male teachers who had played high-school football, or even some of the huskier 12-year-old boys, had converged on Lanza.

It is a curious scientific fact (explained in evolutionary biology by the Trivers-Willard hypothesis — Willard, notice) that high-status animals tend to have more male offspring than female offspring, which holds true across many species, from red deer to mink to Homo sap. The offspring of rich families are statistically biased in favor of sons — the children of the general population are 51 percent male and 49 percent female, but the children of the Forbes billionaire list are 60 percent male.

Have a gander at that Romney family picture: five sons, zero daughters. Romney has 18 grandchildren, and they exceed a 2:1 ratio of grandsons to granddaughters (13:5). When they go to church at their summer-vacation home, the Romney clan makes up a third of the congregation. He is basically a tribal chieftain.

Professor Obama? Two daughters. May as well give the guy a cardigan. And fallopian tubes.

From an evolutionary point of view, Mitt Romney should get 100 percent of the female vote. All of it. He should get Michelle Obama’s vote.

For many believers, this new era will present a unique challenge. Christians often strive to be seen as the “nicest” or “most loving” people in their communities. Especially among Evangelicals, there is a naïve belief that if only we were winsome enough, kind enough, and compassionate enough, the culture would welcome us with open arms. But now our love — expressed in the fullness of a Gospel that identifies homosexual conduct as sin but then provides eternal hope through justification and sanctification — is hate. Christians who’ve not suffered for their faith often romanticize persecution. They imagine themselves willing to lose their jobs, their liberty, or even their lives for standing up for the Gospel. Yet when the moment comes, at least here in the United States, they often find that they simply can’t abide being called “hateful.” It creates a desperate, panicked response. “No, you don’t understand. I’m not like those people — the religious right.” Thus, at the end of the day, a church that descends from apostles who withstood beatings finds itself unable to withstand tweetings. Social scorn is worse than the lash. This is the era of sexual liberty — the marriage of hedonism to meaning — and the establishment of a new civic religion. The black-robed priesthood has spoken. Will the church bow before their new masters?

For dozens of conservatives, the years since Scott Walker’s first election as governor of Wisconsin transformed the state — known for pro-football championships, good cheese, and a population with a reputation for being unfailingly polite — into a place where conservatives have faced early-morning raids, multi-year secretive criminal investigations, slanderous and selective leaks to sympathetic media, and intrusive electronic snooping. Yes, Wisconsin, the cradle of the progressive movement and home of the “Wisconsin idea” — the marriage of state governments and state universities to govern through technocratic reform — was giving birth to a new progressive idea, the use of law enforcement as a political instrument, as a weapon to attempt to undo election results, shame opponents, and ruin lives. RELATED: Scott Walker’s Righteous Victory in Wisconsin Most Americans have never heard of these raids, or of the lengthy criminal investigations of Wisconsin conservatives. For good reason. Bound by comprehensive secrecy orders, conservatives were left to suffer in silence as leaks ruined their reputations, as neighbors, looking through windows and dismayed at the massive police presence, the lights shining down on targets’ homes, wondered, no doubt, What on earth did that family do? This was the on-the-ground reality of the so-called John Doe investigations, expansive and secret criminal proceedings that directly targeted Wisconsin residents because of their relationship to Scott Walker, their support for Act 10, and their advocacy of conservative reform.

Way back during the school bussing brouhaha in Boston, there was one activity that seemed worthwhile - strong opponents and supporters of bussing were put in a room without the media and left to their own devices. As I recall, they came out of the room hours later - not with agreement, but with a better understanding of where the other side was coming from, their goals and dreams, their fears and concerns. In other words, they had a conversation. This is not something even remotely possible at a national level, it could not be on TV, it could not be lead by politicians.

If it happened today, the conservatives would come out alive and the liberals would be dead. And on that day, we'd have taken one small step towards restoring the Republic.

My French ancestors were from Normandy (before leaving for Quebec in 1648), so its very disheartening, to learn that Normandy is no longer safe.

France needs to grow a spine, and end its policies of mass immigration. They should also consider deporting, some of the people they have allowed in.

If the Polish people's Republic could steal Germany territory (Neumark, Schleisen, Pommern, Ostpreussen) and expel millions of Germans (without compensation), from their own homes, then surely France can find some legal mechanism for reversing its mass immigration policies.

The Czechs got away with expelling 1/3 of their pre WW2 population (mostly ethnic Germans), and those people had been there since the 13th century (when the Bohemian monarchy promoted German settlement in Bohemia). Therefore, there is legal precedent for deporting people from France.

"...moderate Muslims are too quiet, too reluctant to become a force for reform within the larger Muslim community."

Kinda hard to be zealous when what you're wanting to preach is anti-zealotry: "Come on, people! Take religion less seriously! Tone down that whole 'submission to Allah' thing! Can't belief and unbelief just...I don't know...get along?" Kinda like telling Christians they need to mention Jesus less or take a few Sundays off. What's the appeal? To be more like a secular America? Yeah, there's a moral paragon for you. We can't even tell men from women anymore, and we'd rather kill 800,000 kids a year than discourage or, God forbid, restrict wanton sex. "Be more like us" isn't going to sell to radicals any more than it sells -- or *should* sell -- to moderates.

When one hears the word meditation, it conjures an image of Maharishi Yoga talking about finding a mantra and striving for nirvana. . . . The purpose of such meditation is to empty oneself. . . . [Satan] is happy to invade the empty vacuum of your soul and possess it. That is why people serve Satan without ever knowing it or deciding to, but no one can be a child of God without making a decision to surrender to him. Beware of systems of spirituality which tell you to empty yourself. You will end up filled with something you probably do not want.

We need to come to the realization that we, the white race, is hated by the black race. I don't know why, but I'm sure jealousy has a lot to do with it. No conversation, legislation, or reparation payments will change this. Therefore we need regional separation. Not just your neighborhood, my neighborhood, but real separation. Like dividing the country into large regions for each race according to their percentage of the population. It's the only solution besides the final solution.

A success story is great. Now reality: the fact remains that Hispanics in the US have an average IQ of 85, one standard deviation lower than whites, and equal to blacks. That means that they will not make it here ever without public assistance, they will never pull their waight as citizens, as they do not have a tax liability (statistically only whites and asians pay Fed income taxes). After one generation Hispanics are not the hard working folk like their illigal fathers were, but closer to the values and attitudes of blacks (go to east LA or East Harlem and just look). In NYC the only immigrant group that can't make it go right amongst all the ethnicities is Hispanics, very few ever can create a business. It's take, take, take. 1 in 4 hispanics kids in our school system is special ed due to IQ, that is $200.00 per day per child to educate them. Visit Rikers Island prison and just look, it will tell you all you need to know.

NR would never tolerate such an article nor muster such defense about Detroit. The bald truth is that Peak Selma was reached in 1965, and in 1968 we began our long descent into Selma Envy, starting with Jesse Jackson being within 10 feet of Martin Luther King when he was shot, wiping King's blood on him, cradling the body in a pieta pose for photographs, and walking around Memphis for three days with King's blood on his shirt.
Like Robert Mugabe and his Zimbabwean Dollar, the fruit of so much hard work and risk became extremely cheap. The Race Card, which contains a Victim Card, has lost its value.
But poor whites were never availed of the Race Card. The last acceptable bigotry in America is against Anglo Saxon Christians. Doubly so if they are male.
And there are no more Selma marches to salve their victimhood at taxpayer expense.
No, white Lubbockites still need 4 or 5 extra points on the ACT and at least a half point on the GPA to get into college. Similar double standards for the job market.
What poor white America is angry about is that all of Hollywood, pop culture, most social media, and all of academe says discrimination is wrong: sometimes, if your skin is the right color.

Modernity is doing a pretty good job of repealing itself, through debt and multiculturalism. Not being able to vote will be the least of the hens’ worries in a few years…

If liberals weren’t all pedophiles, they wouldn’t be trying to disarm parents…

I don’t know what Walsh thinks, but I certainly believe that women shouldn’t be able to vote. They have observably made their lives worse, and thrown away their actual rights (and everyone else’s), in favor of their “right” (actually just a privilege) to vote.

Here's what "should" means to me when it comes to public policy: What we hear in the pews on Sunday "should" be public policy on Monday. We acknowledge our own shortcomings as human beings in doing what we "should" do in God's eyes, so we bind ourselves by legislation to compel, in moments of weakness, actions that we know in moments of reflection that we "should" take. We fully understand that doing so constitutes coercion of others not so inclined. However, we consider that coercion, including the collateral effects of that coercion, to be a price worth paying for fulfilling certain responsibilities to our fellow human beings in accordance with what we perceive to be God's will.

[This is in response to the Supreme Court's decision to decline to hear five cases on same-sex marriage, allowing the rulings in favor of it to stand instead.]

The damage to marriage as an institution, to the family as the linchpin of our culture, to freedom itself, especially the religious freedom of dissenters from the redefinition of marriage - all this will be reckoned up over time as a consequence of today's refusal by the judges to take any of the cases that have so far come up to it. But the cert denials also evince a deep disrespect for the rule of law, for the Constitution, and for the people's right of self-government.

The Republican Party was founded in the 1850s with its first platform (in the 1856 presidential election) denouncing slavery and polygamy, both of which the party wanted the federal government to outlaw where it had power to do so, in the territories. These were the "twin relics of barbarism." One year later, after Dred Scott, the Republican Party added the defense of republican government against judicial tyranny to its portfolio of fundamental principles. The GOP was founded as a party standing for human liberty, the sanctity of the family, and a free self-governing people. As we re-enact a slow-motion Dred Scott for the twenty-first century, it remains to be seen whether any political party in America will continue to stand for those principles.

I have no idea whether Charles Dickens, if he were alive today, would have joined the Occupy Wall Street movement. Given the revulsion he expressed when America’s riff-raff had the temerity to become overly familiar on his two visits to this country, one may doubt his commitment to overthrowing society’s class structure. Despite this, he may still be considered among the movement’s intellectual forerunners. For it was he, in the person of his literary creation Ebenezer Scrooge, who gave the world a character who embodied all of the evil traits the Occupiers attribute to today’s 1 percent. In fact, Scrooge might, in many ways, be considered the literary patron saint of the Occupy movement. Who among them does not dream of a time when today’s 1 percent will find the same inspiration Scrooge did, and give away their riches to “more deserving” folk? Oh wait. The occupiers don’t want the rich to give their money away to the charities of their choice. They want the government to take the wealth of the rich and give it away according to the Occupiers’ desirers.

Either way, such actions are not really going to do much to improve the human condition. I contend that Scrooge, before he became “enlightened,” was already doing more to help his fellow man than any of the other main characters we meet in A Christmas Carol. Moreover, by giving away a substantial portion of his accumulated fortune, he drastically reduced his ability to do even more good in the world.

Scrooge was a “man of business” and evidently a shrewd and successful one. Although Dickens fails to tell us exactly what line of business Scrooge is in, a typical 19th-century “man of business” could be expected to involve himself in many endeavors — what investment advisers today refer to as diversifying one’s risk. One can infer from A Christmas Carol that Scrooge was a financier, who lent money to both businesses and individuals. He also spent long hours at the Exchange, probably speculating on commodities, buying and selling government debt, and purchasing and selling shares in various joint stock companies.

The Fifth Circuit Rejects the Lie of Transgender Pronouns

A victory for biological truth, and for linguistic truth

Cultural progressives, who reject the very humanity of unborn children but confidently assure us that there are upward of 70 distinct genders, tend to have an uneasy relationship with the truth. And the proliferation of transgender pronouns — the use of biologically inaccurate pronouns to describe those afflicted with gender dysphoria — is among the more pernicious tools in the broader arsenal that progressives use to have us question that truth.

Earlier this month, in U.S. v. Varner, a divided panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit boldly refused to appease those who would muddle truth. Over the dissent of a Clinton-nominated judge who used female pronouns in his opinion to refer to the biologically male defendant, the majority refused to subordinate the integrity of the judiciary to a litigant who had moved to require the court to address him as something other than what plain English would indicate he is. In so doing, the Fifth Circuit panel has provided a roadmap for how public officials interested in preserving the commonality and vitality of the English language can resist contemporary progressivism’s attempts to obfuscate truth through the propagation of biologically inaccurate and linguistically imprecise transgender pronouns.

Writing for the Varner majority, Trump-nominated judge Kyle Duncan first observed that “no authority supports the proposition that we may require litigants, judges, court personnel, or anyone else to refer to gender-dysphoric litigants with pronouns matching their subjective gender identity.” Second, because “federal courts today are asked to decide cases that turn on hotly-debated issues of sex and gender identity,” Judge Duncan feared that the court’s use of subjectively felt but biologically inaccurate pronouns would “unintentionally convey” a “tacit approval of the litigant’s underlying legal position.” Third, referring to “Pronouns—a How To Guide,” a colorful five-column-by-nine-row matrix from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee LGBTQ+ Resource Center, Duncan argued that “deploying such neologisms” could “well turn out to be more complex than at first it might appear” and could “could hinder communication among the parties and the court.”

Ultimately, the panel majority logically “declined to enlist the federal judiciary in this quixotic undertaking.” Duncan’s courageous refusal to engage in it amounts, in progressive parlance, to “deadnaming” or “misgendering.” For transgender activists and the rest of the “woke” mob, such rogue behavior is akin to malicious aggression. But it is reflective of both the biological truth that sex is immutable and the linguistic truth that, for a language to remain viable, words must have readily discernible meanings.

To capitulate to the Pandora’s box of transgender pronouns is to pretend that, exceedingly rare intersex exceptions aside, there is more to sexual differentiation than the duality of chromosomal male and chromosomal female. To yield to the soft tyranny of transgender pronouns is to pretend that gender dysphoria is an anodyne lifestyle on which societal legitimacy should be conferred, not a psychological malady requiring compassion and psychological treatment. It is to act as if simple words that have meant the same thing for centuries can change their meanings overnight without ruinous consequence for the language’s durability. It is to encourage the premature sexualization of children and accede to often irreversible tampering of their hormones. It is to undermine the ancient Hippocratic oath: “First, do no harm.” Paul McHugh, professor of psychiatry at Johns Hopkins, maintains that to encourage “surgical intervention is in reality to collaborate with and promote a mental disorder.”

To be complicit in the legitimization of transgender pronouns is, in short, to assist the mainstreaming of a destructive lie. In warping our language to promote the lie, we hinder our ability to stand athwart its corrosive effects. The precise use and ubiquitous acceptance of words is a necessary precondition for the survival of a common language; that is doubly true when the words at issue are not abstruse but function as basic means by which we distinguish between the two sexes. True, Antonin Scalia once warned that “words change meaning, and often in unpredictable ways.” But surely that dynamic cannot apply to rudimentary linguistic building blocks such as pronouns.

Let us state the obvious: A man remains today a man, and a woman remains today a woman. To pretend otherwise, however well intended the obfuscator may be, is a lie against human nature and leading already to the Orwellian “gender transitioning” of innocent preteens.

The Fifth Circuit has blazed a trail for public officials who would seek to defend biological and linguistic truth against the relativists. It is crucial that other judges and politicians alike now follow Judge Duncan’s lead. Nothing less than truth itself is at stake.
