There are two things I do that I wonder if I'm the only one in the world who does these.
1. In a store, getting my stuff rang up and it comes out to $6.66, I always ask if they can change the price...most do it, either a penny up or down.
2. If I have a Bible set on a desk, I never put my wallet on top of it...well anything else either, because I feel that doing that might be a message that I value those items more than the Word.
Anyone else have any odd quirks??

I don't know. Yes, we all have our cross to bear, but the struggle to keep "faithful eyes" at least involves God's master plan for men to desire women. The man-woman bond is part of God's beautiful plan and God wants us to find pleasure in the other sex (within marriage of course).
Homosexuals, on the other hand, are a deviation of the natural order. There is nothing in God's plan that allows for one man to find another man attractive. Honestly, I don't see how women find men attractive, but I guess God made it come to be like this, because that's His plan.
By being so different from the natural order, and from what scripture tells us, it's not unreasonable to believe that homosexuality is influenced by demonic forces or possibly a result of the rejection of God. Most atheists are homosexuals, and when you reject Jesus, it seems like that would open one up to Satanic influence.

There are so many people out there when I evangelize that know the gospel but then ask questions like "well this scripture Jesus is called a man, I want to believe he is God but im not sure." IF i were just to say God loves you and he did this for you what would that do? YOu need to be able to say look here, Jesus is in a hypostaic union, we can see through these scriptures.

This morning I was flipping through the news channel and I happened to land on E! Entertainment (not that that is a wholesome station in the SLIGHTEST), but I just happened to come across the latest story of the writer who wrote Harry Potter made one of her characters (the wise wizard I guess??) gay. The story is as a boy he fell in love with his fellow wizard friend and got rejected which made him evil (I guess? I don't follow HP).
The point to this is: KIDS LOOOOVE HARRY POTTER! So OF COURSE they are going to introduce that in the series! Not that HP is in ANY way wholesome with all of the witchcraft and sorcery ... but still! I feel so bad for the coming generations! I am seriously wondering if I should even have kids now.

I'm taking both a World Religions course and a Religions in America course this semester at ASU. Just last week we were going through Christianity in one of them and the professor pulled some garbage out of his hat that floored me...
The New Testament...Matthew written by Matthew, right? Mark, written by Mark? Luke written by Luke? John, written by John? Peter written by Peter, etc?
He says "No. They were written much later after these men would have been dead!"
He said that the gospels were written starting around 70AD and were written by others who simply gave them the names (Like Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) as a sign of respect...not in deception since this was a custom at the time!
Me...I'm not buyin' it. He didn't mention where he got his sources from but indicated that this was "the agreement among historians today."
So...our children are being taught that the ONLY author of the New Testament who is who he says he is is Paul.
Jesus was probably illiterate...

's all I can do not to remind my professor that Jesus was in the temple wowing the rabbis when he was 12 years old...and that you DID NOT go into the Temple to preach/teach unless you were reading straight from the scrolls.

Every effect must have a cause and every creation has to have a creator, God is neither an effect, nor a creation, so does not have to have a cause or a creator. That's how it is explained in Logic at least.
The other reason this is so is that only something that actually has a beginning has to have something "cause" it, or "start" it. Since God is outside of time, He cannot have a beginning, by sheer definition because the term "beginning" is a slave to time. There is no "before" God, because He exists outside of time. Since there is no "before" God, He is self-existent, hence "I AM."
My passion has been horses since I was eight. I have just begun my show career, without a trainer. I know this is my desired path, but I feel that Satan is trying to stop me from fulfilling it. I know God revealed to me I would do well and he would bless me, but I keep running into these obstacles. First, I went from trainer-to-trainer and yet I realized I hated having someone 'boss' me about my riding. And now I am stuck on should I train myself and find a horse or should I go to a trainer again?
I know this is one of my many talents He has given me but I am confused on how to fulfill it. I know I have seen the jumper from my dreams - a gray gelding (male horse). I know he is the one but I feel I cannot afford him, because my mother has set me on a limit for $5000 and this horse is $32,000. I've cried to God and asked him why this can't be simpler and why can't I just have my horse? I need help but don't know where to go. Prayer and helpful advice are welcome.

Would anybody here condone, support or even encourage me if I said I wanted to commit murder? That's forgiveable isn't it? What's the difference between that and divorce? Divorce is not a knee-jerk, spontaneous slip. It is a carefully planned, meticulously executed deliberate act. One consciously and intentionally places his desire over a direct command from the Lord.

"Things and beings" are only imaginary if those things and beings are actually....what? Anybody? Anybody? Imaginary. When there are actual things and beings, such as God that are real, and that evidence, rational reasoning and logic point to, then they are not, by definition imaginary. God exists, there is evidence to point to Him, and reason and logic also point to Him. Hence, it is the utmost in rational thinking to let this fact pervade every single aspect of life.
At least in the new testament, I can only find justification for divorce between a believer and an unbeliever, and in the case of an illegal marriage (most say adultery in these verses). An illegal marriage could be a marriage that follows after a divorce, for example.
For people facing abuse of whatever kind, would they not be married to an unbeliever? Or maybe I should better say to an unsaved, since even the devil knows that Jesus is the Son of God? In any case, the abused have other options I think, that do not include divorce. You can put a safe distance between you for example. You might be able to get a criminal conviction and have the spouse (notice I don't say husband here) incarcerated. Maybe that abuser will come to know the Lord through your walk in Christ.
Christ did not divorce us when we shoved Him up the hill and nailed him to the cross. He continued to love us unconditionally. If abuse and cruelty were biblical grounds for divorce, it would be advantageous to me, but nowhere can I find that to be true. Instead I find that our Lord wants me to love and to serve my spouse unconditionally, that person to whom I pledged my life until death do us part.
I heard a Muslim female who is now a Born Again Believer say this on Zola Levitt and I am in agreement with her. She said it so well. And this is what she said, "Not all Muslims are terrorists.........but ALL TERRORISTS ARE MUSLIM."

I just came home from church where we attend, and everyone that I met walking in the hall, and everyone serving in AWANA's, was 'dead tired' or exhausted, or 'I didn't have time to take a nap today'.

This is really scarry. What's the next step. They say in the documentation that they and other member states must oppose Creationism but what is to happen next? An opposition to the belief in life after death because it is not scientifically proovable. Or perhaps missing out the miracles of Jesus in all Religious classes because science teaches they are a physical impossibility. The next logical step is to outlaw and legislate against the teachings of Jesus because he claimed to be the Son of God - and science acknowledges no omniscient, creator being. Then let's just take Christianity out of all our education system.
I'm a teacher in Britain and I'm not going to listen at all to any recommendations - or laws that come down from Europe. In my experience of education in Britain, the more the Govt. tries to legislate against and remove our God from Schools the more the Holy Spirit seems to be working in the hearts of our kids, stirring them to a faith in God.

I remember taking one of my son's for counseling (one session) when he was younger b/c i was concerned about anger issues.... she talked so over my head and made me so uncomfortable i never went back.. In my morality class (prerequisite-had to take it) we watched, basically, a gay propaganda film. Afterwards, the teacher asked those who wanted gays to be able to have marriage rights to raise their hands. The overwhelming majority was in favor, and you could tell that those who opposed were more than likely being thought of as discriminators. It's absolutely mind-blowing that our society praises sinful lifestyles and discourages holy ones (or says that every lifestyle is equally valid). "As long as someone enjoys a lifestyle, we shouldn't hold them back," was the basic image being portrayed in that film. It's quite funny how God's disapproval is almost never mentioned by the pro-gay group..it's almost as if they know God condemns the lifestyle, but as long as they play dumb, they can somehow get away with it.
