Global warming is very easy to explain.

Governments are short on money and see carbon taxes as a golden goose. So they spend money paying academics to produce results which support their agenda.

All of the climate models have overestimated warming, because it pays to be alarmist. Producing scary numbers makes it easier to obtain funding the next time around.

My great-grandparents were immigrants too - but from civilized European countries like Germany and Italy, not cow-urine-drinking, cow worshipping Aztec countries like India. My great grandfather also didn't step off the boat into a $100K/year job and kick some American out of job he worked 20 years for. No, he worked menial jobs his whole life, worked his way up so my grandfather could work, who never went to college but worked and saved so my father could go to college and become a stockbroker FIFTY YEARS LATER, so that I could go to college and become a computer programmer working at Apple and on Playstation at Sony.

But today the lazy 3rd worlders who didn't lift a finger to build any of this expect to just step off the plane, take over the best jobs, and throw Americans out of work.

Sorry conmen from India, America doesn't work that way. You have no right to come here and take over jobs that Americans worked 20 years to earn while you were still sitting around trying to get clean water and toilets. No go home, you've failed to keep the US economy going as promised, you're all failure, now get out and stay out. Fix your own mess of a country first conman.

Oumar Ould Hamaha, et al. #fundie washingtonpost.com

Today, in the city of Gao, 39-year-old singer Bintu Aljuma Yatare no longer listens to music on her phone. The Islamists will confiscate it, she said. Five musicians in her band have fled to neighboring Niger; two others are in Bamako. She cannot leave because she has to take care of her aging parents.

Every evening, she risks being sent to prison: She shuts the windows and doors of her house and sings in her native Songhai language. “Sometimes I lie in my bed and hum my songs softly,” she said. “The only way for me to survive this nightmare is through music.”

The other day, she wrote a song about the drivers who take people out of northern Mali to safer pastures.

For reggae musician Alwakilo Toure, his home in Gao was not a sanctuary. He was strumming his guitar when six armed militants barged into his compound. With guns pointed at his head, one Islamist grabbed the guitar and smashed it to bits with his foot. “The guitar was my life,” Toure recalled. “I had nothing else to do.”

Two weeks later, he fled to Bamako.

In a telephone interview, one of the Islamists’ top commanders declared that his fighters would continue to target musicians.

“Music is against Islam,” said Oumar Ould Hamaha, the military leader of the Movement for Oneness and Jihad in West Africa, one of the three extremist groups controlling the north. “Instead of singing, why don’t they read the Koran? Why don’t they subject themselves to God and pray? We are not only against the musicians in Mali. We are in a struggle against all the musicians of the world.”

[The CEO of Murray Energy, a coal mining corporation, read this prayer to his employees the day after the election.]

Dear Lord:

The American people have made their choice. They have decided that America must change its course, away from the principals of our Founders. And, away from the idea of individual freedom and individual responsibility. Away from capitalism, economic responsibility, and personal acceptance.

We are a Country in favor of redistribution, national weakness and reduced standard of living and lower and lower levels of personal freedom.

My regret, Lord, is that our young people, including those in my own family, never will know what America was like or might have been. They will pay the price in their reduced standard of living and, most especially, reduced freedom.

The takers outvoted the producers. In response to this, I have turned to my Bible and in II Peter, Chapter 1, verses 4-9 it says, “To faith we are to add goodness; to goodness, knowledge; to knowledge, self control; to self control, perseverance; to perseverance, godliness; to godliness, kindness; to brotherly kindness, love.”

Lord, please forgive me and anyone with me in Murray Energy Corp. for the decisions that we are now forced to make to preserve the very existence of any of the enterprises that you have helped us build. We ask for your guidance in this drastic time with the drastic decisions that will be made to have any hope of our survival as an American business enterprise.

Amen.

[He then laid off 156 people.]

The Divine Mercy Care Pharmacy in Chantilly proudly and purposefully limited what it would stock on its shelves. But it turns out that no birth control pills, no condoms, no porn, no tobacco and even no makeup added up to one thing:

No customers.

The self-described "pro-life" pharmacy went out of business last month, less than two years after it opened to great fanfare, with a Catholic priest sprinkling holy water on the strip-mall store tucked between an Asian supermarket and a scuba shop.

No word on whether he returned for last rites.

Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone #fundie washingtonpost.com

The Vatican's second-highest authority says the sex scandals haunting the Catholic Church are linked to homosexuality rather than celibacy vows among priests.

Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone is the Vatican's secretary of state and asserts that "many psychologists and psychiatrists have demonstrated that there is no relation between celibacy and pedophilia."

He says others have shown "that there is a relation between homosexuality and pedophilia," and "that is the problem."

Bertone spoke during a news conference Monday in Chile.

He also asserted that the church had never impeded investigations of pedophilia by priests.

They've disregarded the wishes of the American majority in favor of their own warped agenda since Obama stepped into the oval office.

They're not going to ram homosexuality down my or my families throats.
We believe homosexuality to be a mental disorder and will stick to know what we believe to be the truth till hell freezes over regardless of what our corrupt and foolish government says or does.

Exopolitics: It's about air-traffic control. It's about honest government. It's about self-empowerment and healthy living and bold declarations of reaching for the stars. Exopolitics "provides a conceptual framework for dealing with our highly populated universe," says author, lawyer and activist Alfred L. Webre, who coined the term 10 years ago and has watched it creep into the mainstream.

He also says the Martians are keeping to themselves for now.

Kurdish Muslims #fundie washingtonpost.com

TUZ KHURMATU, Iraq

Sheelan Anwar Omer, a shy 7-year-old Kurdish girl, bounded into her neighbor's house with an ear-to-ear smile, looking for the party her mother had promised.

There was no celebration. Instead, a local woman quickly locked a rusty red door behind Sheelan, who looked bewildered when her mother ordered the girl to remove her underpants. Sheelan began to whimper, then tremble, while the women pushed apart her legs and a midwife raised a stainless-steel razor blade in the air. "I do this in the name of Allah!" she intoned.

As the midwife sliced off part of Sheelan's genitals, the girl let out a high-pitched wail heard throughout the neighborhood. As she carried the sobbing child back home, Sheelan's mother smiled with pride.

"This is the practice of the Kurdish people for as long as anyone can remember," said the mother, Aisha Hameed, 30, a housewife in this ethnically mixed town about 100 miles north of Baghdad. "We don't know why we do it, but we will never stop because Islam and our elders require it."

Kurdistan is the only known part of Iraq --and one of the few places in the world--where female circumcision is widespread. More than 60 percent of women in Kurdish areas of northern Iraq have been circumcised, according to a study conducted this year. In at least one Kurdish territory, 95 percent of women have undergone the practice, which human rights groups call female genital mutilation.

Supporters of female circumcision said the practice, which has been a ritual in their culture for countless generations, is rooted in sayings they attribute to the prophet Muhammad, though the accuracy of those sayings is disputed by other Muslim scholars. The circumcision is performed by women on women, and men are usually not involved in the procedure. In the case of Sheelan, her mother informed her father that she was going to have the circumcision performed, but otherwise, he played no role.

It is an abomination unto God for what the Democrats stand for according to the bible.
I truly believe if we want the blessings of God on our land (listen atheist, believe or not God is real) We have to abide by God's moral laws.

[Excerpts from a report on her pro "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" testimony]

Donnelly treated the panel to an extraordinary exhibition of rage. She warned of "transgenders in the military." She warned that lesbians would take pictures of people in the shower. She spoke ominously of gays spreading "HIV positivity" through the ranks.

"We're talking about real consequences for real people," Donnelly proclaimed. Her written statement added warnings about "inappropriate passive/aggressive actions common in the homosexual community," the prospects of "forcible sodomy" and "exotic forms of sexual expression," and the case of "a group of black lesbians who decided to gang-assault" a fellow soldier.

[...]

But it was Donnelly, founder and president of the Center for Military Readiness, who amused lawmakers the most. Snyder asked Darrah about Donnelly's reference to "passive-aggressive actions common in the homosexual community," saying, "I'm almost tempted to ask you to demonstrate."

Darrah was stumped. "Like a woman who is stared at, her breasts are stared at," Donnelly explained. She further explained the "absolutely devastating" effect of homosexuals "introducing erotic factors" and made a comparison to Sen. Larry Craig's adventure at the Minneapolis airport. She said admitting gays to the military would be "forced cohabitation" and a policy of "relax and enjoy it."

Washington is a town filled with boobs.

They're everywhere, from the bare-breasted ladies who decorate the fountain at Dupont Circle to the peekaboo statue in the Justice Department's Great Hall to the countless nudes in our museums. But while those of us who live here hardly blink at the public nudity, it can shock some of our visitors. Such was the case for Robert Hurt, who last week tried to add the issue of artistic indecency in the nation's capital to the platform of the Texas GOP.

"You don't have nude art on your front porch," the Dallas Morning News quoted the delegate as telling the platform committee at the state party convention. "So why is it important to have that in the common places of Washington, D.C.?"

Hurt, 54, a Kerrville, Tex., rancher and father of 14, told us in a phone interview he first came to Washington a decade ago for a gathering of the evangelical Promise Keepers on the Mall. "It was probably not much different than 'The Beverly Hillbillies' going to Beverly Hills," he joked. At the National Gallery, he was appalled to see statues of unclothed people. "I found it very inappropriate," he said. Returning a few years later, he discovered Arlington Memorial Bridge, flanked by the bare-chested figures of Valor and Sacrifice.

"The Lady Godiva thing -- that's what it conjured up, and that's not what our country's about," he said.

[In response to an article about the duck-billed platapus]

Some commentators debate whether this research has anything to do with proving evolution to be true. That's not the case. Evolution is assumed at the outset and thus the study's authors believe the DNA shows something about mammalian ancestry. But from a neutral standpoint all the study reveals is that genotype and phenotype are closely linked. In fact, the presence of features from mammals and reptiles in the same highly specialised animal is not easily explained with common ancestry although an explanation might not be impossible. Evolutionists should concede that point.

Bring back open prayers...loud and faithfully asking and thanking God for protection. Until then we may suffer more tragedies like this. When will accept the fact and adhere to it that we'll always need to say prayers openly amongst ourselves acknowledging God, our Father is the ONLY way to protect us. During the era when we had open prayers in schools nothing like this every happened. Kick God out and the devil will come in...sooner or later. We need God and his almighty powers; not hiding God and prayers in a closet or just to ourselves. Let the schools, jobs, etc. say it loud..Our Father which art in heaven, etc. before, during and after we enter our destinations. Try it and just watch our God's protection and grace over our schools, jobs, etc.

I think it is YOU who does not understand what separation of church and state means. It means that the state cannot use the public schools (or the courts) to enforce any particular world-view (which in the Founder's time was called Religion).

The MoCo school board is forcing a particular worldview on its students by presenting homosexuality as innate (which is a belief, not a fact) and 'normal' and 'acceptable.' You do not get to say that your worldview about moral behavior is ok for the state to support and mine is not.

Therefore, we leave the issue out of the tax-funded forum! You see, that is separation of Church and state. Just because your church is the one of "secularism' doesn't make it any less Constitutionally supportable.

Newt Gingrich #fundie washingtonpost.com

LYNCHBURG, Va., May 19 -- Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich decried a "growing culture of radical secularism" Saturday morning as he hailed the life of Liberty University's late founder, the Rev. Jerry Falwell, in an address to the school's 2007 graduating class.

In a speech heavy with religious allusions but devoid of hints about his presidential ambitions, Gingrich drew applause from the graduates and their families in the school's 12,000-seat football stadium when he demanded: "This anti-religious bias must end."

"In hostility to American history, the radical secularists insist that religious belief is inherently divisive," Gingrich said, deriding what he called the "contorted logic" and "false principles" of advocates of secularism in American society.

"Basic fairness demands that religious beliefs deserve a chance to be heard," he said during his 26-minute speech. "It is wrong to single out those who believe in God for discrimination. Yet, today, it is impossible to miss the discrimination against religious believers."
