EVEN IF your rhetoric were proven not to be the cause of the shooting, we have to notice your reactions to the shooting.
No, because it’s clear to anyone with a brain (ie, most people not including YOU) that the shooter is lying HIS ass off. As confirmed by a bunch of people who live near and deal with him and his family on a constant basis, the shooter had a long history of ranting about LGBTQ+ people being monsters and needing to die and frequently used a certain six-letter word that starts with F to describe LGBTQ+ people.
If you are a social media influencer you hold some responsibility for what you influenced. The right wingers who have been upping the anti-trans comments for months are not guilt free. This is the bed they made. That includes Lauren Chan.
Now I have my reasons for doubting the shooter is actually non-binary. But even if it is true that doesn't change what they believe, who their family is and who they follow.

And Quiverfull and IBLP continue doing all the grooming, just look at his parents. Is it any wonder people,not just on left thought shooter was rw Christian? And his father was relieved son was shooter wasn't gay. Mass murder is morally acceptable but being gay not. Says a lot right there. Even if we were to accept they are non binary, there have been homosexuals who killed other homosexuals. Guess what type environment they were raised in. And to boot they could be claiming it as a means yo protect rhetoric.
In short pick one. Either they are non binary but the rhetoric caused self loathing and inspired them to kill. Or they're making it up and you fell hard for it

And didn't you know that some of the most anti-LGBT are actually people who have been confronted to "their demons" that involved a conflict between their intimate needs and what seemed acceptable in their puritan society? Do you think that the LGBT community consists of legally-"untouchable"? I don't think so but see that you're promoting it.
This shooting has become a right wing pity party. I am disgusted but not surprised. I mean, 5 people were murdered, many more injured, and everyone at the club’s lives changed forever, but that’s not important! No, what’s important is that some right-wingers got their feelings hurt. Right-wingers seem to find a way to be victims in every situation. Not only that, but the hero is super confusing to them for several reasons. 1) he’s not white, but the shooter is. In their minds the bad guy is the POC and the white guy is good. 2) He was a straight guy who brought his family to a drag show. I think these assholes think drag show = strip show. I’ve also realized they don’t seem to believe LGBT people or allies have families, that’s only for straight people apparently. 3) He’s military, which to them means something ultra-manly, but being in a gay bar negates manliness in their black and white worldview. 4) He (a straight cis man) risked his life to protect LGBT people. That is confusing to them just on its own. 5) He wrestled the gun away from the shooter and protected a ton of people without having a gun himself . It blows their “we must have good guys with guns because that’s the only way to protect us from bad guys with guns” argument to bits.
