The program is going after people who don’t want to pay their fair share of taxes. It has nothing to do with productivity. It has to do with the fact that these people, while they may have “invented” some things, still owe a debt to the society that supports them. You mention Musk - yes he’s a smart guy but most people wouldn’t be able to drive his cars without a road system, and if we did, they wouldn’t last long. Even dirt roads are part of that system and have to be created and maintained, they don’t just appear on their own and without maintenance they disappear or turn into mud pits.
