Well, I never watched “Captain Scarlet”, but I have watched GA’s other show, “Thunderbirds”, with a passion. It was one of my absolute favorite shows of all time as a child, and it’s the main reason I learned to speak english so well at that age. My parents bought the VHS’ whenever they could find them and I watched them religiously. Hell, I still have the DVD sets to this day, even though I hardly watch DVDs anymore. In fact, the only thing that I was equally obsessed with around that time was Lego’s Bionicle.
Regardless, my point being that despite the numerous dangers and disasters that happened in that show, I somehow never felt the need to jump of bridges, or put my house on fire, or bury someone alive up to their neck… It’s almost like most children can tell the difference between fiction and reality! And that if kids are crazy enough to mimic such things you can hardly blame the television for it! Maybe the parents, sure, for not keeping a better eye on them, but not the shows or movies…
