that’s just a consequence of having a federal system, I mean we can’t exactly have a unitary system, the US is just way too big for that, and besides I imagine the same issues pop up in any federal system, for instance, Canada is a federal system as well, albeit a bit more centralized but the individual providences still self-govern. We probably need some reforms done to limit the stuff states can do, though alot of the stuff the Red States have been doing is technically against the constitution but I doubt the Supreme Court now will actually enforce that given how its’ controlled by partisan Republican justices now

And even if the Court does decide to rule in favor of this batshit case, they don’t have an army to back up such a decision, especially one that so radically upends how the federal government even works as its’ effectively one branch of the government trying to take complete control of the government over the other so don’t expect much, or hell even a tiny minority of the military to agree with the Courts in just overthrowing the wider government outright. They do need the support of the other two branches to enforce any decision it makes and there have been times when the Court say something and the other two branches either ignored or just outright tell them to fuck off as they have the means to enforce the decisions and if they don’t agree with the decision then there’s literally nothing the supreme court can do about it. Yes they have their own police force but that’s not big enough to enforce decisions nationwide nor is it big enough to effectively stage a coup against the other two branches of government.

However, the worrying part of this possible case is if the court does agree with the plaintiff and declares Biden and the vast majority of the legislature as “illegitimate” and when the two branches inevitably tells them to fuck off and sends the military and FBI to arrest a now rogue supreme court, Red states could use this clusterfuck to start a civil war on the side of the rogue supreme court and declare Trump as the “legitimate” president of the “legitimate” United States Federal Government.

So far from the polls it seems likely that Republican will regain the House at the very least but… well polls have been wrong for the past years now it seems so now I tend to take them with a grain of salt as the methods that use to work in past polls is clearly starting to fail now, I’m hoping that Michael Moore’s suggestion that due to Roe v Wade getting overturned that it actually causes a Blue tsunami that wasn’t accounted for in the polls as the method to make them didn’t account for them or their sample size was not wide enough but who knows humans are weird sometimes and alot of folks are concerned with the state of the economy over social issues here in the states and Republicans have effectively taken over the messaging even though their policies would cause even more economic hurt to the average American, assuming they actually do anything government wise and not just focus entirely on trying to impeach Joe Biden, either one is going to result in the Republicans getting their asses kick in 2024 as most Americans see through them now. But again, time will tell rather or not the Republican gains back the House or the Democrats get a large majority in both houses (relatively speaking)
