I’m not going to bother getting into this mess. Instead let me just explain to the uninitiated here what the “issue” is with the RE4 Remake.
First of all, the “Damsel in Distress” you have to save (kidnapped First Daughter) now wears slightly more conservative clothing and you cannot move the camera to look up her skirt anymore. Also, despite still being an regular 20-year old in a horrifying and hostile environment, she is a lot more helpful and less of a “load” this time around. She may not have combat experience, but she is very determined to help you get both of them alive out of there.
Also, a secondary character no longer makes a (pointless) joke about her “ballistics”.
Finally, if you ask me, Ashley actually seems a bit bustier than originally. Granted, it may be because the RL person her in-game model was based upon is rather attractive herself. But regardless, oversexualizing Ashley now does seem a bit creepier.
