To summarize (because I find this interesting anyway lol)…Marlboro was marketed in the 1930’s as a “woman’s cigarette,” with the slogan “Mild As May.” It was only in the 50’s when smoking started to be linked to lung cancer that they started marketing them to men who wanted to smoke filtered cigarettes but wanted to be “manly” still…hence the “Marlboro Man” ad campaign, usually picturing a MANLY cowboy lighting up a smoke. I remember up until about 1999, whenever I saw that giant Marlboro Man billboard on the freeway, I knew I was almost home, lol.

Even disregarding the other good points already made in the previous comments here, that kinda doesn’t make sense. If the writers of the Constitution had wanted to make the First Amendment ONLY applicable to Christianity, you’d think they would mentioned that, right? Why, come to think of it, that’s the only mention of religion in the Constitution. “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof” Nowhere is any specific religion mentioned, Christian or otherwise.

I looked that up…yeah, that ain’t quite right. The order didn’t activate “1,000,000 National Guard.” For one thing, there are less than half of that number of people actually IN the National Guard. It said the US could have activated UP TO 1 million members of the Reserves (of all branches) in response to…well, look at that date, what was turning into some serious shit, back around March 2020? Hmm, I didn’t see Judy mention that anywhere!

I just watched that video clip. OK, fine, Trump got a positive reaction it seems (in a solidly red state, mind you!). But if anyone is gonna try to tell me that that was a “crowd going wild” that would the make the hair stand up on your arms, BULLSHIT. I’ve heard bigger “pops” from a crowd most every week from watching WWE’s Raw and Smackdown shows on TV recently, lol. Or hell, there was the time I was in attendance for a Detroit Lions football game way back in the times of old (aka 1992), and by the time the PA announcer got to the last player to be named in the starting lineup (running back Barry Sanders, simply one of the very best ever!), I literally could not hear it over the crowd noise.

When I played college baseball, we were expected not to use steroids. Sure, some athletes do it anyway, but no coach would ever walk into the locker room and say, “We want you all to abstain from using performance enhancing drugs. But since we know some of you will do it anyway, we’ll have a basket of free, clean syringes in the dugout,” with a special class for those who don’t want to abstain.

I dunno, I would have no problem with a coach who said such a thing. I utterly fail to see the logic behind why that would not be a good thing. If “some athletes do it anyway” then why the hell not at least make it a little bit safer for them?

IFF the ultrasound was applied when the fetus had actual ears, and IFF the ultrasound had any effect on the baby that’s born, it’d be that their ability to hear ultrasound frequencies would be a little lower (From nada point shit down to nada point shit minus 5% of nada point shit). For a while.

Also don’t forget that people’s ability to hear higher frequencies, not just those are considered “ultrasound”, totally declines with age. Like they say the upper limit of human hearing is about 20 kilohertz, but that’s for a young person. I’m 46 years old myself, and if I’m doing this test right, I can hear up to about 15 kHz, which I think is about normal.

A radio tuned to FM does not punish the AM signals by ignoring them. It simply cannot receive the differing signal due to its very nature. It can focus only on FM wavelengths.

OK, I’ve read quite a lot of posts quoted on here with people like this talking about “frequencies” and “wavelengths” and such, but I think this might be the first time I’ve seen one of them actually try to make an analogy to radio. And….yeah, that doesn’t quite work, as I could imagine! A radio will receive any signal that reaches its antenna, it’s just a matter of whether it can turn that signal into anything you can actually hear. I guess they’re halfway right though, in that if you have a radio that’s just intended to be an “FM radio” you can only tune it to frequencies allocated for FM broadcasting.

But hey, I can do something weird like listen to some European “middle wave” station broadcasting in AM on my favorite “WebSDR” (a Software-Defined Radio receiver connected to the internet, allowing many listeners to listen and tune it simultaneously) and I can switch to trying to listen to in FM and….yeah, I can still actually hear it, albeit faintly.

So basically, that analogy is completely wrong.
