Disbelief, horror, and nausea, as well as pain, grief, confusion and fury, is a mighty potent cocktail. Combined with the parent's narcissism, it leaves me concerned for this transwoman's safety. Being kicked out might be the safest thing for her.

Because there is no mention of concern for what the homeless daughter will do now, and that is both tragic and ominous.

The fact that FeminismIs4Women never mentions what made her change her opinion of transfolk from "pitiful losers" to "malicious liars" struck me as a false note. Wouldn't a TERF be eager to explain what made her peak? As a way to convince any non-TERF of the rightness of transphobia?

It seems like a classic case of paper-thin “support” stemming from nothing more than adopting the “default liberal/left position” on an issue. It’s a “support” which had no real depth to it, so it was easy to waver and disappear.

*sigh* I guess I really, really don't want to accept that some people believe in such garbage psychology. When it comes to wingnut conspiracies like QAnon, they are almost believable on the surface so long as you don't try to analyze them (CSA exists, elections can be tampered with, the earth does look flat from ground level, etc.). But the mental pretzels of TERF rationalization appear bonkers at first glance.
