“I can see why atheists focus on God's wrath so much. They have the most to fear from it.”
IN my calculations, my honesty is a lot more pleasing to bible god than people doing evil in Jesus’ name and thinking they’re saved. INSISTING they’re saved. Not your decision to make.
“So do atheists really think that the more they call God a monster, a tyrant, cruel, evil, and immoral that that's going to manipulate God into changing his mind?”
Do you really have thoughts like this?
Do people who do not believe in god try to manipulate that god?
“Why do they think that slander and criticism will ever help them in any circumstance? Or do they just plain don't think?”
Well, i don’t think the way YOU expect me to, that’s for fucking sure.
But i have read the bible.
God makes two people without the ability to tell right from wrong, leaves them unsupervised, and gets mad at THEM when they make suboptimal choices.
All of humanity is punished because God didn’t act responsibly with two ABSOLUTE INNOCENTS? Yeah, that’s the description of a monster.
And it’s not slander. It’s in print, so it’s libel.
“So yes guys, God does destroy those who treat him and his creation with contempt.”
A gang of kids tease a prophet and god sends two bears to tear them up. That’s GOD treating his creation with contempt, actually.
"He does punish those who are arrogant enough to think they deserve the best that God has to offer without acknowledging him.”
I don’t even want the best. I’d be quite happy just leaving each other alone.
But threatening me with vile punishment doesn’t make him any LESS of a monster, the way he treated Adam and Woman.
“ And calling him name after name after name won't change that one bit.”
DO you really think i am trying to TAUNT him into better behavior? Man, you’re dumb as a plank.
“So why do atheists criticize him and reject his free pardon?”
The pardon he offers for the judgment against Adam and Woman, that was really his fault? To accept this pardon i’d have to believe it all made sense. And it just does not. Sorry, but it doesn’t.
God loves you.
Here’s a list of all the people he’s killed. For his ego, for his convenience, for being in the way, for relatively small crimes, and for acting like kids.
"Whose fault is that?”
His.
“Is anything ever the fault of atheists on their own eyes? No.”
Oh, plenty of things are my fault. But in regard to accepting God as a real person, not a revenge fantasy from a sick writer, that’s just my intellectual honesty.
