Good luck, @shy. I understand that reading horrible statements, some of which are bound to become actual policy past January 20, might take a toll, especially when said policies are bound to cause actual harm, including death.
As for me, the fact that I live in Europe somewhat reduce the pain, although this continent might suffer from the fallout of Trump’s policies, along with furtner normalization of extreme politics.

Panem et circenses, “3 F” (Football, Fatima, fado), “pan y toros”, etc… are all evidence of how efficient for an authoritarian regime is entertaining its subjects, relative to brute force. Indeed, even freer governments, unable to use full repression, can use entertainment to reduce dissent.
