Well, I think mocking (I’d call it satire maybe) often targets Christianity because it’s kind of the biggest target, ain’t it? It’s by far the biggest religion in the “western world.” Something that’s that big of an institution and a cultural force will inevitably be mocked or satirized or lampooned, or whatever you wanna call it. And as for Republicans always being the ones mocked, it’s kinda the same thing, I think. And of course, that goes back and forth. I’m old enough to remember people making jokes about the Democrats not having anybody worth voting for for President. (I was born in ‘77, so there were Republican Presidents from the time that I knew what a President was until I was a few months shy of 16 years old!)

I think I like my sleep as much as anyone, but 9 hours?? I don’t think I’ve slept that long nonstop since maybe when I was a teenager, if even that. Also, I don’t really think I’m much more “killable” when I’m sleeping than when I’m awake. I mean, when I’m asleep, I’m typically in a house with locked doors, and for that matter, with family members nearby, who are usually awake when I’m sleeping. When I’m awake, I could very well be out in public somewhere, where who-knows-what might happen.

GPS and other satellite navigation systems have to take relativity into account to get the precision they do, so no, that’s not “false science” at all. Also, there’s “time dilation”, which has been observed, and is an example of relativity at work. (and was the subject of one of my favorite songs…written by a guy who would later get a PhD in astrophysics, so he knows what he’s talking about!)
