Uniformitarianism would suggest that if we see a cup of water under a dripping water faucet, that most likely the water in the cup came out of that faucet. It’s possible that firemen came by and spritzed 80% of the water we see into the glass, but until we see evidence of that, we’ll assume the faucet, yes. Occam’s Razor would suggest that if we don’t NEED firemen to explain the cup of water, we shouldn’t add firemen to the explanation for no real reason.

I don’t think that’s catastrophism, either. A catastrophism-supporting interpretation of the water in the glass would be that someone threw a water balloon at the ceiling, and when it burst, less than 600 drops fell in the cup. It’s been dripping for some unknown amount of time, but most of the water in that cup did NOT come from the faucet.

On my 4th boat, one of the Christains found a copy of the Bhagavad Gita in the ship’s library (which was run by an atheist) and disposed of it in the trash. He did NOT face repercussions due to destroying Navy property or being intolerant at a command that promoted equal opportunity.
We also had a hanging shoe organizer that was filled with pro-Christain pamphlets. After I was sure nothing would happen to the first guy, i shredded every single pocket and put the confetti back in each pocket. Amazing how i was suddenly in violation of all of their policies…

And quite a few on Rapture Ready have stated that the laws about such things are only to protect the Christains. Vandalizing other people’s literature is free speech, to them, hate crime against Christains.
