1) After retirement, my parents routinely visited the dermatologist to have skin cancers removed, the result of living in the tropics before sunscreen.

Republican Jadon MacCormack, who made headlines earlier this year with a slew of inflammatory, hateful remarks and social media posts, lost his primary to former Pomfret First Selectman Anthony Emilio Tuesday.
Among other comments and posts, MacCormack called for the execution of LGBTQ people, called Catholicism a false religion, said the Salem witch trials were morally justified to counter the threat of witches, and agreed with a post accusing Israel of worshipping the devil. MacCormack was the party-endorsed candidate.
The Associated Press called the race for Emilio as early returns showed him receiving nearly 80% of the vote. With over 80% of the precincts counted, the public results counter on the Secretary of the State’s website showed Emilio with 298 votes to MacCormack’s 78.
