there are people who are “in love” with this fictional […] anime girl who denies the divinity of Christ. There are large body pillows, stuffed dolls, bed sheets, and “Oppai” mousepads depicting her with large breasts, among other things that those who are are so ensnared of her will buy.
Well, yes. Welcome to weeb world, where such things are not just common, but expected even. What’s so newsworthy about this anyway? And while I admit I don’t have such mousepads (all hail oppai!) or body pillows, I, like all proud weebs, do have an extensive list of waifus(*) that I care more about than your precious god. And I am not afraid to admit that!
(*)From anime/manga/jrpgs alone, I have One Piece waifus, Bleach waifus, Digimon waifus, Dragon Ball waifus, Persona waifus…
Waifus, waifus everywhere! …And husbandos for people with other preferences, of course.
Ahem, but in all seriousness, what is wrong with feeling attracted to someone? Real or fictional or anywhere in between, isn’t god supposed to be love incarnate? Thus isn’t denying those feelings of love truly rejecting god? And is god’s ego truly so fragile that mortals loving each other instead of constantly worshipping him to devastating to him?
