I still enjoy SW myself, even Disney SW. Clone Wars, Mandalorian, Rebels, Bad Batch, Rogue One, Fallen Order, Squadrons… All great SW works that Disney is responsible for. But the difference is they weren’t shameless cash grabs like the Sequels and were made by people who actually understand SW. And by people who work together to make sure everything stays consistent in the different media.

IMO, the problem with Ep. 9 specifically was that Disney tried to please too many people at once after the reception of the previous ones. Of course, as anyone with a brain can tell you, try to please everyone and you end up pleasing no one.

But yeah, Finns “story arc” was criminally underused in the sequels, I fully agree.

If you want my opinion, the sequels had some good ideas, but ultimatly failed in properly executing almost any of them. I have my own ideas on how they could/should have been made from the beginning. And while I wish I was overflowing with talent to turn them into an epic fanfic, it sadly still wouldn’t be able to salvage the reputation…
