I cant stand homosexuality. Period. I was born in China and never knew the existence of religion until I was in high school. And hearing the arguments for and against religion it was quite clear to me that religion is a joke. I honestly thought back then that Noah's Ark was like the story of Santa, I still think so today. After watching videos of "TheThinkingAtheist" and reading some papers, I became quite an extreme atheist BUT I cant stand homosexuals. And I want to know why many of you are for homosexuality. My religious friends support it because of the bible, but I see it has nothing to do with religion, to me, homosexuality is simply...disguesting The sad part is, I hate homosexuality for the same reason why I hate religion: the effect it has on the helpless young. Religious parents at times teach their children and force them into the same belief, this has been talked many times and we all know. Homosexuality affects the young as well. Not having the love and care of a father or mother is greatly detrimental to the young, which again, is innocent and do not have a choice in this matter. It is the most frustrating when religious people think I am also religious due to my view on homosexuality but in reality I am an atheist, and I am confused on what to do..
Edit: I am currently homophobic cause the reason for it far outweigh the arguments against. Research and study that has shown Gay related immune deficiency are a good part of the reason why the bullies did what they did. No one wants HIV and AIDS to spread, one of many reasons why I was homophobic. I came to see reasoning and some proper arguements but most of which was just insults and logical fallacies, though I do appreciate a few quality posts that did have some good points. I am hateful toward the homosexual parents. A bit more info: When a whole group of children decide to form together and reach a consenus to bully the same child, there has to be a good reason behind their actions. Back then I couldnt even save my friend, maybe I can stand up to 1 or 2 bullies, but not 10+, I lost a precious friend and for a whole month I can do nothing but watch him suffer. I thought to myself "1 bully might be a jerk, but 10+? , what did the kid do to deserve this?" Then I found out it was his parents when I reported to the teacher, and the fact that an adult choose to side with the children too fully convinced me it was the fault of the kid's homo parents. I made this post in hopes of ways to convince me otherwise, but all I got so far was mostly insults, which only futher convinced me against homosexuality.

First of all, saying I might be gay is similar to debating a Christian and him/her saying "there are no atheists, you just hasnt recieved the blessings etc". I don't understand why this offends you so much. I think this is just common sense when you look at how the economic levels of African-Americans has gone down over the past half century. I said exactly the same thing about Asian-Americans in other posts and most people agreed. In my post about Sessue Hayakawa, I explained that the Asian-American community was better off in the 30s, 40s, and 50s because Asian-Americans mostly married each other and AMWF marriages actually outnumbered the reverse, Asian-Americans stayed true to their cultural values and weren't whitewashed, Asian men had a much fairer shot in Hollywood to get decent roles, and Asian women weren't hypersexualized and sexually assaulted at a disproportionate rate. So to me, it's just common sense that minority communities in America have gone backwards over the last half century.

I will myself hate foreigners, whether they do anything or not, when I am with female acquaintances at the pub I stand between them and any foreigner since they may touch or alternatively drug her. When I see foreigners, I'm prepared to be attacked and I have started going with keys between my fingers if I have to walk past someone, just in case I have to hit them down. i haven't read any rape stats and never met anyone who was raped as far as i know, but from what i understand, stranger rape is pretty rare. like a guy dragging you into an alley way. i'd imagine its especially rare in urban (city, not black) areas where there is a lot of foot traffic so stuff like that is harder to get away with. because the chances of someone walking by, seeing it, and intervening are much higher. anyway, i'm assuming that most rapists are actually acquaintances / friends / relatives of the victim. so my question is why do you hang out with people you don't wanna have sex with? like if you're more likely to be raped by someone you socialize with rather than a stranger, doesn't it make sense to only socialize with attractive men? so that if you are forced to have sex, it will at least be with someone you like. this question is specifically for women who think all men are potential rapists.

I run into a lot of people who feel "if you don't like abortion, don't get one" is a valid statement. They take an indifferent position, feeling that the abortion issue is comparable to Coke versus Pepsi. Sometimes they might even agree with my values, but feel "it shouldn't be illegal." They utter some nonsense about "women will get it anyway, so for their safety we must keep it legal," or claim it's a privacy issue.
I'm frankly more disgusted by this position. At least die hard pro-choice individuals take the issue seriously, and you'd think the potential murder of a baby would be a serious issue.
I have little sympathy for killers. I don't personally care much about the safety of robbers and rapists, criminals are the last person who deserve comfort.
It wouldn't matter if outlawing abortions resulted in more overall death from "unsafe" abortions, there's little reason to care about the safety of a murderer. My concern is justice, not life in general.
