Paul Makenzi #fundie #god-complex #psycho abcnews.go.com

Thirty-nine bodies have been found so far on land owned by a pastor in coastal Kenya who was arrested for telling his followers to fast to death.

Malindi sub-county police chief John Kemboi said that more shallow graves have yet to be dug up on the land belonging to pastor Paul Makenzi, who was arrested on April 14 over links to cultism.

The total death toll is 43, because a further four people died after they and others were discovered starving at the Good News International Church last week.

Police have asked a court to allow them to hold Makenzi longer as investigations into the deaths of his followers continue.

A tipoff from members of the public led police to raid the pastor’s property in Malindi, where they found 15 emaciated people, including the four who later died. The followers said they were starving on the pastor's instructions in order to meet Jesus.

Police had been told there were dozens of shallow graves spread across Makenzi’s farm and digging started on Friday.

Makenzi has been on hunger strike for the past four days while in police custody.

The pastor has been arrested twice before, in 2019 and in March of this year, in relation to the deaths of children. Each time, he was released on bond, and both cases are still proceeding through the court.

Local politicians have urged the court not to release him this time, decrying the spread of cults in the Malindi area.

Cults are common in Kenya, which has a largely religious society.

A California man was arrested this week for allegedly threating to bomb Merriam-Webster's offices and kill its employees over the dictionary publisher's definitions for women, federal prosecutors said.

Hanson allegedly used the handle “@anonYmous” to post the a message on Oct. 2 on the comment section of Merriam-Webster's webpage for the definition of the word female stating that "Merriam-Webster now tells blatant lies and promotes anti-science propaganda," according to the U.S. Attorney's office.

"There is no such thing as 'gender identity.' The imbecile who wrote this entry should be hunted down and shot," he allegedly wrote in the comment section.

Hanson also allegedly wrote a message on the "Contact us" page stating the company's headquarters should be "shot up and bombed," federal prosecutors said.

"It would be poetic justice to have someone storm your offices and shoot up the place, leaving none of you commies alive,” he allegedly wrote.

The suspect allegedly sent related threats to other companies, non-profits and individuals including the American Civil Liberties Union, Amnesty International, Land O’ Lakes, Hasbro, Inc., IGN Entertainment, the president of the University of North Texas, two professors at Loyola Marymount University and a New York City rabbi, according to prosecutors.

Oklahoma state House approves bill to make abortion illegal
The Oklahoma House has given final legislative approval to a bill that would make performing an abortion a felony

The Oklahoma House gave final legislative approval on Tuesday to a bill that would make performing an abortion a felony, punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

With little discussion and no debate, the Republican-controlled House voted 70-14 to send the bill to Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt, who has previously said he'd sign any anti-abortion bill that comes to his desk.

The bill is one of several anti-abortion measures still alive in Oklahoma’s Legislature this year, part of a trend of GOP-led states passing aggressive anti-abortion legislation as the conservative U.S. Supreme Court is considering ratcheting back abortion rights that have been in place for nearly 50 years.

The Oklahoma bill, which passed the Senate last year, makes an exception only for an abortion performed to save the life of the mother, said GOP state Rep. Jim Olsen, of Roland, who sponsored the bill. Under the bill, a person convicted of performing an abortion would face up to 10 years in prison and a $100,000 fine.

“The penalties are for the doctor, not for the woman," Olsen said.

Similar anti-abortion bills approved by the Oklahoma Legislature and in other conservative states in recent years have been stopped by the courts as unconstitutional, but anti-abortion lawmakers have been buoyed by the U.S. Supreme Court's decision to allow new Texas abortion restrictions to remain in place. The new Texas law, the most restrictive anti-abortion law in the U.S. in decades, leaves enforcement up to private citizens, who are entitled to collect what critics call a “bounty” of $10,000 if they bring a successful lawsuit against a provider or anyone who helps a patient obtain an abortion. Several states, including Oklahoma, are pursuing similar legislation this year.

The Oklahoma bill’s passage came on the same day as more than 100 people attended a “Bans Off Oklahoma” rally outside the Capitol in support of abortion rights.

A U.S. Army reservist who was arrested for participating in the Capitol riot was known to coworkers as a white supremacist and Nazi sympathizer and wore a "Hitler mustache" to his Naval security job, federal prosecutors allege in new court documents.

Timothy Hale-Cusanelli, 34, from Colt Neck, New Jersey, faces seven criminal counts in connection with the Jan. 6 insurrection, including civil disorder and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol Building.
[…]
Thirty-four of those interviewed described Hale-Cusanelli as "having extremist or radical views pertaining to the Jewish people, minorities and women," according to court documents filed Friday. A majority acknowledged he was a white supremacist and gave examples, "many of which were violent," prosecutors said.

One Navy seaman said he heard Hale-Cusanelli allegedly say, "Babies born with any deformities or disabilities should be shot in the forehead," and that if he were a Nazi "he would kill all the Jews and eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and he wouldn't need to season them because the salt from their tears would make it flavorful enough," according to the documents.

An officer said Hale-Cusanelli "talked constantly" about Jewish people, allegedly saying, "Hitler should have finished the job." Another officer said Hale-Cusanelli allegedly referred to Black people as "shit skinned minorities," according to the documents.

Several of those interviewed recalled that Hale-Cusanelli shaved his facial hair into a "Hitler mustache,” with a supervisor saying she had to "correct" him for sporting it to work, according to the documents.

Yoshiro Mori #sexist abcnews.go.com

Yoshiro Mori, president of the Tokyo Olympics organizing committee, apologized Thursday for comments he made suggesting women talk too much in meetings.

Mori, an 83-year-old former prime minister of Japan, made the remarks during an executive meeting of the Japanese Olympic Committee that was held online Wednesday. When giving his "private opinion" about the committee's goal of increasing the number of female board directors from 20% to more than 40%, Mori expressed concern about how that would affect the length of meetings, according to a report by The Asahi Shimbun, one of Japan's largest daily newspapers.

"A meeting of an executive board that includes many women would take time," Mori was quoted as saying by the newspaper. "Women are competitive. When someone raises his or her hand and speaks, they probably think they should speak too. That is why they all end up making comments."

He also referred to the Tokyo Olympics organizing committee, saying it "includes about seven women, but they all know how to behave," the newspaper reported.

Mori's remarks provoked laughter from some of the committee members, according to the newspaper. But on social media, as reports of his comments surfaced, people quickly began calling for Mori to resign.

Government of Seoul #sexist abcnews.go.com

SEOUL, South Korea -- The government of South Korea's capital is facing criticism for an online manual for pregnant women that contained sexist tips and gender stereotypes.

The now-deleted guidelines, which were published on the website of Seoul’s “Pregnancy and Childbirth Information Center,” suggested that pregnant women should prepare food, clothes and daily necessities for their husbands and family before going to the hospital to give birth. They offered tips on weight management that involved hanging up smaller size clothing for motivation and warned women against excessive spending on children’s clothing.

South Korea has one of the lowest birthrates in the world, according to the United Nations Population Fund, and is trying to encourage more births. But critics say those efforts have been hampered by a government that often reflects a deeply patriarchal society and widespread sexist views.

“It’s like Seoul City is declaring that a wife should take care of all the housework,” Kim Hyomin, a student at Duksung Women’s University, said in a phone interview.

"I don't know who the Proud Boys are. I mean, you'll you have to give me a definition because I really don't know who they are. I can only say they have to stand down, let law enforcement do their work," Trump said of the group which has staged counter protests in cities like Portland that have experienced recent violence.
But asked directly on Wednesday if he would denounce white supremacy, Trump claimed he has always denounced it -- yet once again didn't use the words "white supremacy."
"I've always denounced -- any form, any form, any form of any of that -- you have to denounce," Trump said.

"I think he misspoke in response to Chris Wallace's comment. He was asking Chris what he wanted to say. I think he misspoke. I think he should correct it," Scott told Capitol Hill reporters.
"If he doesn't correct it, I guess he didn't misspeak," he added.

The Justice Department on Wednesday announced a series of nationwide arrests of members of the white nationalist group, Atomwaffen, as the FBI steps up its policing of neo-Nazi groups in the U.S.

John Denton, the former leader of the neo-Nazi group Atomwaffen, was arrested n the Eastern District of Virginia for his alleged role in coordinating several "swatting events" that targeted a university, a Baptist church and a news organization, among others.

According to a criminal affidavit, Denton allegedly conspired with others to make prank calls through the encrypted app Mumble in order to trick law enforcement dispatchers into believing Denton's intended targets were in imminent danger of death or causing harm to others, often generating significant emergency responses to unwitting individuals or groups.

The targets included an unidentified Cabinet official living in Virginia, Old Dominion University, Alfred Street Baptist Church, the New York City office of ProPublica and an investigative journalist for ProPublica.

"Denton allegedly chose the two targets because he was furious with ProPublica and the investigative journalist for publishing his true identity and discussing his role in Atomwaffen Division," the affidavit says.

In a separate indictment unsealed in the Western District of Washington, four members of the group were arrested in four different states for allegedly targeting journalists and members of the Anti-Defamation League who had outed Atomwaffen’s behavior.

Cameron Brandon Shea, 24, of Redmond, Washington; Kaleb Cole, 24, of Montgomery, Texas; Taylor Ashley Parker-Dipeppe, 20, of Spring Hill, Florida; and Johnny Roman Garza, 20, of Queen Creek, Arizona, were all charged in the conspiracy.

[...]

The posters sent to journalists allegedly showed an image of a reporter with a message that read "Two can play at this game," and, "Death to pigs." The men allegedly used encrypted online chat groups to identify journalists they wanted to intimidate.

Shea, one of those arrested, was identified as a high-level member and primary recruiter for Atomwaffen, who coordinated a "Death Valley Hate Camp" in Las Vegas in January 2018, where members of the group "trained in hand-to-hand combat, firearms, and created neo-Nazi propaganda videos and pictures of themselves posing with weapons," according to federal prosecutors.

[...]

As a part of their harassment operation, one member of the group suggested picking targets on the Society of Professional Journalists online directory. One responded that he had picked out "three targets, and one was Jewish." Garza, identified in the indictment, wrote back that he "had found a leader of a 'association of black journalists' in his state."

Cole, one of the Atomwaffen members charged Wednesday, also suggested the group could buy "rag dolls and knives" so the group would leave "a doll knifed through the head at their target locations."

President Trump stumps in support for Roy Moore

Rallying supporters at a venue just 20 miles away from the Alabama border, President Trump sought to discredit one of the women accusing Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore of sexual misconduct in calling on Alabama voters to vote for the Moore in the upcoming special election.

"How many people here are from the great state of Alabama?" Trump asked the audience about an hour into his remarks at an event by the president's re-election campaign.

"Did you see what happened today? Do you know the yearbook? Did you see that? There was a little mistake made. She started writing things in the yearbook. Oh, what are we going to do? Gloria Allred, any time you see her you know something's going wrong," the president said, referring to the lawyer for Moore accuser Beverly Young Nelson.

Nelson is one of one eight women who have come forward with accusations of sexual misconduct against Moore and has brought forward a yearbook from 1977 which she says Moore signed prior to allegedly assaulting her. Moore has denied it’s his handwriting in the yearbook, and his supporters have further sought to discredit her story, noting differences in some of the handwriting on the inscription.

Nelson told ABC News Friday that she wrote a note under the inscription she says is Moore's inscription.“I had wrote under it where it happened at,” she said, but maintained that Moore "wrote the note and signed his name.”

The president, who has endorsed Moore in the election despite the multiple sexual misconduct allegations that have been leveled against him, said Friday night that the Republican Party can't afford to lose a vote in the Senate, where Republicans maintain a slim 2-vote majority.

"We cannot afford ...to lose a seat in the very, very close United States senate. We can't afford it, folks. We can't," Trump said. "We can't afford to have a liberal Democrat who is completely controlled by Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. We can't do it."

He went on to say, "So get out and vote for Roy Moore."

The White House maintains that the president remains concerned about the allegations of sexual misconduct leveled against Moore but say that Moore's denials should also be taken under consideration.

President Trump's remarks on Moore Friday night was the first time he has touted the candidate in a political campaign setting, but the president has previously made supportive statements about Moore's candidacy -- tweeting on Friday morning "VOTE ROY MOORE!"

Indonesia's Aceh province #fundie abcnews.go.com

Two men in Indonesia's Aceh province were publicly caned dozens of times Tuesday for consensual gay sex, a punishment that intensifies an anti-gay backlash in the world's most populous Muslim country and which rights advocates denounced as "medieval torture."

More than a thousand people packed the courtyard of a mosque to witness the caning, which was the first time that Aceh, the only province in Indonesia to practice Shariah law, has caned people for homosexuality.

The crowd shouted insults and cheered as the men, aged 20 and 23, were whipped across the back and winced with pain. Many in the crush of spectators filmed the caning with cellphones as a team of five robed and hooded enforcers took turns to inflict the punishment, relieving one another after every 20 strokes for one of the men and 40 for the other.

Sarojini Mutia Irfan, a female university student who witnessed the caning, said it was a necessary deterrent.

"What they have done is like a virus that can harm people's morale," she said. "This kind of public punishment is an attempt to stop the spread of the virus to other communities in Aceh."

The couple were arrested in March after neighborhood vigilantes in the provincial capital, Banda Aceh, suspected them of being gay and broke into their rented room to catch them having sex.

A senior advisor to Illinois Republican Rep. Aaron Schock has resigned in disgrace hours after racially insensitive posts he wrote on Facebook came to light today.

Benjamin Cole, who joined Schock’s office as senior advisor for policy and communications in March 2014, confirmed in a text message to ABC News that he resigned.

"I am extremely disappointed by the inexcusable and offensive online comments made by a member of my staff," Schock wrote in a statement released by his office. "I would expect better from any member of my team. Upon learning about them I met with Mr. Cole and he offered his resignation which I have accepted.”

Cole’s racist posts were first reported by ThinkProgress and Buzzfeed.

Before joining Schock’s office, Cole posted a series of videos and comments on October 13, 2013 mocking two African-Americans outside his apartment in Washington, DC, comparing them to zoo animals. About two months later, Cole took to Facebook to report witnessing a shooting of “one of the hood rats on my street” by “another hood rat.”

Buzzfeed also found a post from August 16, 2010 where Cole suggested that a mosque be built on the White House grounds to give President Obama a ‘house of worship.’

“I just think it would be nice for the President to have his own house of worship, since he’s not been able to find one suitable in DC since 2004 when he moved here,” Cole wrote.

The posts have since been deleted.

There's no "excuse" for what was done - it was a heinous and especially vile evil thing that they did - but at least know yourself first. Because if there is one thing that I have seen time and time again, this sort of accusation which denies the humanity of human beings comes out from or into a particular living manifestation:

2) or still are partaking of (unchecked)
3) or will be otherwise led to partake of by that same REAL monster.

An atheist lawmaker's decision to give the daily prayer at the Arizona House of Representatives triggered a do-over from a Christian lawmaker who said the previous day's prayer didn't pass muster.

Republican Rep. Steve Smith on Wednesday said the prayer offered by Democratic Rep. Juan Mendez of Tempe at the beginning of the previous day's floor session wasn't a prayer at all. So he asked other members to join him in a second daily prayer in "repentance," and about half the 60-member body did so. Both the Arizona House and Senate begin their sessions with a prayer and a recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.

"When there's a time set aside to pray and to pledge, if you are a non-believer, don't ask for time to pray," said Smith, of Maricopa. "If you don't love this nation and want to pledge to it, don't say I want to lead this body in the pledge, and stand up there and say, 'you know what, instead of pledging, I love England' and (sit) down.

"That's not a pledge, and that wasn't a prayer, it's that simple," Smith said.

Mendez said he was just looking for a way to convey his own feelings like other members do when they take the rotation giving the daily prayer.

"I wanted to find a way to where I could convey some message and take advantage of the opportunity that people have when they offer these prayers," he said. "If my lack of religion doesn't give me the same opportunity to engage in this platform then I feel kind of disenfranchised. So I did want to stand up and offer some kind of thing that represented my view on what's going on."

The Jamaican-born Ferguson killed a half dozen people at a train station in New York in the early 1990s. Ferguson was able to reload once, but was stopped by passengers as he attempted to reload for the second time.

Coulter's comments come as President Obama is poised to announce sweeping changes to the nation's gun laws.

Coulter also mockingly criticized the lack of diversity among President Obama's cabinet selections, which have so far included several white men, specifically Sen. John Kerry for secretary of state, Chuck Hagel for defense secretary, and Jack Lew for treasury secretary.

"The lack of diversity just shocks me, shocks me!" she continued, feigning outrage.

People will join this "false" gov. to receive food and medical, to survive, instead of living by FAITH in God. Anyway-- check out the web site, there's also a FREE book if you want it. May you all seek for the truth in God's Word! ~ Gail

Jock gives us a "special" view of the world. Thanks, Jock. The short bus is waiting for you. Now, this supposed "theocrats" of the last 8 years is an absolute media invention. Look at the various college with "gay studies" departments. Any scholar that even mentions "intelligent design" is fired from academic. It's getting so bad that some professors at major college do not dare admit they go to a church for fear it may damage their tenure. Also, this article does not mention the global warming sceptics. Many objective scientists have found that the global warming can be traced to lack of particulates in the air and that can be traced to lack of volcanic activity. Next, the sun may be going into a major cooling phase. The last sixteen years was a period of high solar activty. Yet to write on those two objective things went against the religion of global warming. The left wing has more sacred cows than the right. They just have friends at Disney who can write an article making themselves seem oppressed when just the opposite has been true.

Where did the stuff that the sun is made of come from? The "Big Bang"? Where did that stuff come from? point to anything and ask..." where did that come from" and then ask where your answer came from.

God made that sun as He made every sun.

What I don't understand is this: If somthing feels good, seems right and fits into what I want to do, then it must be okay. There are a lot of things in life that feel good, seem right and fit into your life that are not right. I am sorry, as a Christian, I don't want to judge anyone or deny anyone their rights but wrong is wrong. Homosexuality is wrong. I don't care if monkeys do it, Ellen Degeneres (spelling) does it, I don't care if the person I most admire does it. It is wrong. I now that when we all sit back and look at the design of the human body and see how perfectly man and woman fit together we must be in awe at the perfection of God's design. I don't care what you tell yourself during the day, but at the end of the day, at night when you are alone with your thoughts and your conscience, you know that the lifestyle you have chosen is wrong, if you are a homosexual. Birth defects and genetic disorders are not God's fault, they are a result of sin. Adam and Eve were created to live forever, perfect. But because of sin, through time, the flesh has become less and less perfect, thus you see disease, cancer, birth defects, genetic disorders and yes a love for that which is unnatural. I believe God loves us all, but does He love all that we do, NO! But Him being God give us all the right to choose. So if you choose to be a homosexual I can not judge you, but allow me the right to choose that marriage is between a man and a woman. I never thought I would live to see the day that Christians would back down from the Word of God because so many people say that we are judging. Let every man be a lie and let God be true.

You can't put God in a petri dish or a test tube and you won't ever prove Him scientifically, but we do have extraordinary proof for Jesus' extraordinary claim that He was God in the flesh: He rose from the dead. Then, nearly 2000 years later, He changed my life. He can do the same for you. Science can know nothing of the supernatural, because science is limited.

This is another frog in water attempt to get people use to the idea of homosexuality. It is happening all over and America needs to wake up! I stop letting my children watch Sesame Street 25 years ago when they started promoting that 2 lesbians w/children and 2 gay men w/children were just like a heterosexual family. Now, I will stop buying Heinz Ketchup as a result of this ad. These men & women need to wake up to the sin they are choosing to take part of, repent and ask for forgiveness or suffer an eternity in hell.If Christian conservatists do not wake up and start voting we can kiss America goodbye because the same type of stuff was happening thousands of years ago and God took care of it by destroying the earth then and He will do it again.

A Clackamas County, Ore., couple are facing second degree manslaughter and criminal mistreatment charges after their 15-month-old daughter died from what the state medical examiner said were easily cured illnesses.

[...]

The infant girl, Ava Worthington, died March 2 from bacterial bronchial pneumonia and an infection, both of which could have been cured with common antibiotics, the medical examiner said.

But police say that instead of going to a doctor, 28-year-old Carl Worthington and his wife, Raylene, 25, opted to pray for their daughter.

The Worthingtons are members of the Followers of Christ Church in Oregon City, that has a history of shunning medical care in favor of faith healing.

A decade ago the church received national attention after KATU reported that the state medical examiner believed approximately 20 children whose parents belonged to the church, had died from untreated illnesses that were curable. [...]

I find it interesting that several people have said that there is so much evidence for evolutionism, but I havn't seen any examples either in comments or in the video or article. As a homechooled student, I am being taught to think for myself, and I want to know why evolution is "obviously" true but I'm not hearing why. what makes it a better theory than creationism? I"ve only heard that certain facts of evolution are the way they are just because its true. How do we know? Nobody was there to see it! I am not brainwashed.

Does believing that "God is on our side" make it easier for us to inflict pain and suffering on those perceived to be our enemies? If we think God sanctions violence, are we more likely to engage in violent acts?

The answer to both those questions, according to new research, is a resounding "yes," even among those who do not consider themselves believers.

[...]

[Social psychologist Brad Bushman] assembled teams of researchers at two very different universities, Vrije University in Amsterdam, Holland, where he also holds a professorship, and Brigham Young University in Utah.

[...]

tudents read a description of the beating and raping and murder of a woman in ancient Israel. Half of the students read a version of the story that included an assertion that God commanded the friends of the woman to take revenge. The other half read a version that did not mention God sanctioning violence. Half of the students were told the account came from the Bible, and half were told it came from an ancient scroll.

"What we found is that people who believed the passage was from the Bible were more aggressive [than those who did not know it came from the Bible], and when God said it is OK to retaliate they were even more aggressive," Bushman said. "We found that both at Brigham Young, which is a religious school, and at Amsterdam, where only half believe in God.

"Even among nonbelievers, if God says it's OK to retaliate, they are more aggressive. And that's the worry here. When God sanctions aggression, when God says it's OK to retaliate, people use that as justification for their own violent and aggressive behavior."
