For decades, leftists and progressives have used terms like “dictator,” “fascist,” and “Nazi” to deride, smear, and cow their political opponents into submission — and, for decades, it worked.

It is, perhaps, little surprise that President Donald Trump has been called a “dictator” after announcing his federal takeover of Washington, D.C. Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) glibly referred to Trump as “an aspiring dictator,” Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) claimed that the president “is grabbing power like a dictator,” and D.C. Young Democrats chief Jamal Holtz called the effort to rid the city of crime “a racist power grab” and “dictator control.”

Suffice it to say that the words have all but lost their meaning. After all, what is a dictator? What is a fascist? What is a Nazi? If Americans are shown a Washington, D.C. free of crime, safe to wander, perhaps even restored and beautified, and told, “That’s a dictatorship,” then they may just decide that dictatorship is agreeable. They may just decide that the world could do with a few more dictators.

An Indianapolis church is calling for members of the LGBTQ+ community to be put to death or to kill themselves. The call was made during a recent sermon titled “Pray the Gay Away” inside Sure Foundation Baptist Church on the northwest side of the city.

“There’s nothing good to be proud about being a faggot. You ought to blow yourself in the head, in the back of the head. You’re so disgusting,” Stephen Falco said from the pulpit. He was speaking during the church’s “Men’s Preaching Night.” The event was streamed live on their Facebook page. “A bunch of faggots that want to come around, walk on our streets, and demand our children, and we should walk in the eye and say, ‘No, you’re not going to have our children,’” he said.

“He’s only calling for the death penalty and suicide for the actual sodomites (homosexuals),” the church said in an emailed statement. “The Bible teaches that those people are worthy of death. They are supposed to be executed by the government. We are not to take the law into our own hands.”

Carbon Hill mayor Mark Chambers has responded about recent controversial comments he made in a Facebook post. The post written in all capital letters said: “We live in a society where homosexuals lecture us on morals, transvestites lecture us on human biology, baby killers lecture us on human rights and socialists lecture us on economics.”

Chambers faced strong criticism from his constituents for the post and also for a response to his Facebook friend who wrote: “By giving the minority more rights than the majority. I hate to think of the country my grandkids will live in unless somehow we change and I think that will take a revolution.”

Chambers responded to that comment saying: “The only way to change it would be to kill the problem out. I know it’s bad to say but without killing them out there’s no way to fix it.”

A New Hampshire man who was involved in the violent 2017 “Unite The Right” rally in Virginia was charged Thursday with threatening a person using the online messaging app Telegram, authorities said. Christopher Cantwell, 39, was taken into custody and indicted on two counts, extortion over interstate communications and threatening interstate communications, according to the FBI’s Boston field office.

The indictment alleges that Cantwell threatened a man to get the personal identifying information of a second man with whom he was feuding. He allegedly told the victim over Telegram that if he didn’t hand over the information he would attack his wife. “So if you don’t want me to come and f— your wife in front of your kids, then you should make yourself scarce,” Cantwell texted the victim, the indictment says.

I am deeply saddened to hear that Chick-fil-A has been forced to cancel millions in charitable donations to Christian organizations due to the despicable attacks of the Homosexual Lobby. But I am even angrier at what the Radical Left has been able to get away with.

The Homosexual Lobby has resorted to terrorist tactics in their jihad against a Christian business. Local governments and publicly funded universities have committed unconstitutional discrimination against Chick-fil-A solely on the grounds that they are a Christian company. Chick-fil-A employees have been put in fear for their lives. Chick-fil-A has been forced to spend untold millions in legal fees just to operate their business according to their own convictions.

Public Advocate and our supporters have worked tirelessly to protect Chick-fil-A and other Christian businesses from the terrorism of the Homosexual Lobby. We have championed a National Save Chick-fil-A Bill to President Trump and Congress, modeled on the very one passed in Texas. But this is clearly not enough. More drastic action is required.

That’s why we are hereby demanding that Attorney General Barr open an immediate investigation into the mass assault on Chick-fil-A in an attempt to terrorize them and to deprive them of their First Amendment protected Religious Liberty.

The Fourth of July is a time of national celebration and commemoration. We rejoice in our liberty and remember those who won our freedoms and have preserved them at great cost. Yet underlying these things is a foundation that must remain strong for “liberty and justice for all” to mean anything.

It’s the rule of law. Law that is fair and impartial, consistent and understandable. Without allegiance to the rule of law, we become a nation where those in power can do what they want without accountability. And in this 244th year of our independence, I fear we are on the brink of that happening.

Last month, the court ruled in the case of Bostock v. Clayton County, Georgia that the 1964 Civil Rights Act opposing discrimination based on the biological sex of an individual now must mean that “discrimination based on homosexuality or transgender status necessarily entails discrimination based on sex.”

Justice Neil Gorsuch, who wrote these words, even acknowledges in his decision that the meaning of “sex” in 1964 was not even vaguely connected to homosexuality or transgenderism. In his words, the court “proceeds on the assumption that ‘sex’,” in 1964, referred “only to biological distinctions between male and female.”

America has never been a perfect nation and never will be. But with all our problems, we have made tremendous progress in securing the God-given rights we too often take for granted.

But the exercise of those rights will be increasingly diminished and put in jeopardy if Congress refuses to safeguard them and, instead, allows the Supreme Court to rule however its justices prefer, regardless of the text of the Constitution and the law itself.

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), National Public Radio (NPR), and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), are all subsidized by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). The Trump administration is right to propose a budget that completely guts these entities of federal funding. That is why I am asking members of the House and Senate Appropriations Committees to honor the president’s request.

Justice demands that these agencies should be eliminated: Taxpayers should not be forced to pay for assaults on their religion. Christians constitute roughly 75 percent of the population; Catholics are approximately 25 percent of the total. In the name of “art,” these Americans are expected to pay for irreverent exhibits, but depictions that are reverential—such as a nativity scene outside City Hall—are denied a dime. It’s time we stopped giving the arts a privileged position and cut their funding. The same is true for publicly funded radio and TV programming that has a history of insulting the majority of Americans.

The CPB was founded in the 1960s, and it has been plagued with problems ever since. In the late 1980s, the NEA funded Andre Serrano’s “Piss Christ” and Robert Mapplethorpe’s “The Perfect Moment.” Serrano took a crucifix and dropped it into a jar of his own urine, branding it art. The NEA gave a Philadelphia museum $30,000 to display graphic homosexual S&M photos taken by Mapplethorpe.

In 1998, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that there is no constitutional prohibition against Congress setting decency standards for the NEA. But attempts by the NEA to enforce grant recipients to sign an anti-obscenity pledge went nowhere. This is why Congress must act.

To show how perverse things have become, President Barack Obama not only approved generous grants to the NEA, he actually included $50 million for the arts as part of his “federal stimulus package.” One of the first beneficiaries was a San Francisco outfit, CounterPULSE. It received $25,000 to pay for employees’ salaries. What did the public get from it? The group hosted “a long-running pansexual performance series” called “Perverts Put Out”; it asked the audience to “Join your fellow pervs for some explicit twisted fun.”

In this ad they show two men kissing each other and two women kissing each other on the ‘kiss cam.’ They’re trying to define sin as love and make it acceptable. We have to love people enough to tell them the truth about sin and warn them of its consequences as defined by God, not man. The bill was sold as justice for the victims of sexual abuse, when, in fact, it was a sham: the proposed legislation that failed to make it to the floor of the New York State legislature in the wee hours of Saturday (the session that began on Friday ended at 5:00 a.m. the next day), was a vindictive bill pushed by lawyers and activists out to rape the Catholic Church.

If the statute of limitations were lifted on offenses involving the sexual abuse of minors, the only winners would be greedy and bigoted lawyers out to line their pockets in a rash of settlements. The big losers would be the poor, about whom the attorneys and activists care little: When money is funneled from parishioners to lawyers, services to the needy suffer. The Catholic League is proud of its role in this victory.

The media writes, but does it read? Too few seem to, based on the coverage of Mississippi’s new religious liberty law. After Governor Phil Bryant (R-Miss.) signed a bill that essentially reaffirmed the First Amendment, headlines across the country screamed that Mississippi had just given Americans a “license to discriminate.” “Mississippi governor signs law allowing businesses to deny service to gay people,” some read — regardless of the fact that the measure does no such thing!

Governor Bryant, like the 20 states with religious liberty laws before him, didn’t create a new “religious right” for businesses to turn people away. No believer I know would want that, let alone lobby for it. Despite what the Left would have you think, this debate isn’t about Christians discriminating against anyone — it’s about stopping the government from discriminating against them!

All that Mississippi leaders have done is make sure that the state can’t punish, fine, fire, or block someone from a government work for believing in natural marriage. The Left lies about what the bill does because they know if people knew the truth, they’d probably support it! And a level playing field — the same one they used to demand for their own values — is not what they want for men and women of faith. Forced acceptance is.

CBS is now airing a Christian-bashing program titled “Angel From Hell,” about a “not so good” guardian angel starring Jane Lynch. The previews alone can make believers sick to their stomachs with the blasphemous content including crude humor, foul language and distasteful dialogue. The new show airs on Thursday evenings at 9:30 pm ET/8:30 pm CT with a 14-DL rating.

This program is a new comedy that focuses on a holier-than-thou character who is anything but that. The network also cast children in scenes that are extremely inappropriate, such as the angel using foul language in front of them and then joking that she never promised to be G-rated.

The premiere also included the angel hiding liquor in the children’s clothes and saying, “My booze!” followed by a little boy saying, “That’s so cool!” Almost every scene included the angel drinking alcohol from a flask, even on Sunday, and once at a bar. Not to mention the angel rides on a wrecking ball while busting up a concrete angel statue.

Is nothing sacred anymore? Once again networks like CBS mock Christianity. “Angel From Hell” is a demeaning show portraying Christians in a negative light. This program is another attempt to distort the truth about Christianity. There is strength in numbers, so please share this with everyone you know!
