Here is the truth. Humanity is cancer - a cancer upon Planet Earth.

Think that's beautiful? Now look at the land's contours and instead of marveling at the shiny beauty of your cities, look for the dark spots - those are the only places that still contain wild land, land for the Wild Beings to live in. Look at how much you've taken and how little you've left for them - for all of them. You are just one species. They are millions. Scattered in the dark corners, torn from each other, tucked in the little space left that you haven't taken from them yet. Yet. Because while their populations are shrinking and vanishing, yours is only ever growing, and so does your demand, for land, for food, for water, for everything.
Some argue that every living species that had the capability to do that, would do the same. Some argue that your species has achieved the power to win the land and this is also a form of natural competition - one that you are obviously winning massively. Some argue that this is part of Evolution and Life - some species overpower others and take what they have won rightfully. Some even argue that all those who perish in the process are the price of further Evolution, or even that the disasters that follow are necessary for further progress to take place. Mass extinctions have happened before, and this is how Life gains a fresh start, eh?
I know all about Evolution, its principles and laws. I AM an evolutionist myself.
