Porn will never be free speech.

Porn is imagery. Porn is media. Porn consists of videos and photos.

Those are visuals. Not speech or text.

And even the actual text/speech in porn is riddled with slurs (bitch, cunt, whore, slut, etc) and degrading language. You know, speech that shouldn't be normalized or accepted.

If we've come to shun racial slurs, the same should be done for misogynistic slurs.

But anyways - pathetic porn apologists who scream that porn is a "right" and a "freedom" and part of "free speech" are deluded and partaking in a massive cop-out. It's a right for whom? It's a freedom for whom? It's free speech... For WHOM?

For men. Because it certainly isn't any of those things for women.

I can just hear the pro "sex work" libfems in the back of my mind going "nuh-uh! It's freedom for women too, since we want the autonomy to show off and make bank off our bodies!"

...yea, ok. All I hear is "I'm brainwashed and I believe freedom for women means being able to choose to exploit, commodify, and objectify myself within an inherently misogynistic industry and have that be widely accepted and even applauded".

Convenient, isn't it, that freedom for women to these people means being as vulnerable, exposed, obliging, and subjugated as possible - yet freedom for men means, you know... Actual freedom. Actual power. None of this bullshit.

If freeing slaves, for example, wasn't an attack on free speech or anyone's "rights", neither is freeing women from porn and the sex industry. Both things directly treat humans in ways that no human should be treated.

Ridding the world of the sex industry and how it harms and enslaves women, whether by actual force or via mass brainwashing and manipulation, is not and will never be a bad thing.

Porn is not freedom of speech or expression, nor is it a "right". Porn is the exploitation, commodification, and dehumanization of real human beings - namely women - and nobody reserves the "right" to partake in such a thing or derive pleasure from it.
