Until recently, my instinct was always to believe the victim. And if the victim is a woman, I do believe her. When the victim is a man, claiming to be a woman, my instinct now is not to believe him. I kind of hate myself for it, but I've just seen them fetishize rape and CSA so often, that I have to wonder if it's just a fantasy to help affirm them as women. I do not doubt that TIMs in sex work have been raped, but I don't believe the oft-cited statistic that TIMs experience rape at a higher rate than women.
