Well said. Honestly, as long as the fetish in question remains Safe, Sane, and Consentual, I try my hardest not to care what other people do in either their fantasies or their bedrooms.
Sure, I do not “get” every fetish out there (such as inflation fetishes that I find a lot on Deviantart for some reason), and some outright gross me out (flatulence fetishes apparently exist), but whenever I feel judgemental I remind myself of something. EVERY fetish is weird to those who do not have it, and I can imagine my own fetishes would also be utterly weird to “normies”. Hence why I always try not to judge someone’s sexual preferences.
And don’t be ashamed that you have a sadist kink. From what you say, it’s clear you are still a decent person who keeps things “Safe, Sane, and Consentual”. Hell, I’ll let you in on a little secret; I sometimes feel traits of a sadist myself. Not necessarily to cause pain, mind you, but just to sexually order someone around. But the thing is whenever I feel such thoughts I always am a bit ashamed as I cannot help but feel misogynistic over it…
Granted, it’s far from my only fetish, and certainly not my “main” one, but again, we all have various kinks.
