While I may be a bit biased due to being a cis male myself, I think the problem is more cultural than it is inherent in males. Don’t get me wrong, toxic masculinity and the patriarchy does more harm to everyone (even other males) than good, but I think it’s largely because a lot of males are expected to act like that, not necessarily because they want to.

Though I admit if I wasn’t a cis male myself I might have an even worse opinion of my own gender. But I still don’t appreciate any misandrists out there acting like we’re all the same. A lot of us “beta males” suffer under the “alpha males” just as much a women do.

I couldn’t agree more. The butterfly effect alone states that even the smallest, most well-intentioned change in history could have unimaginable repercussions. Who knows? Maybe by preventing WW2 we not only deny billions of people (so far) the right to be born yet, but we might cause an even worse timeline to occur somehow.

Either that, or history ends up the same way with just a few minor changes, making our efforts pointless. Thing is, we cannot know. But I’m pretty sure time travel will rarely end up right.
