Ditto. At least, in a way. Yes, I’m suffering from a bit of anxiety and a minor depression (which is more a medical thing than something wrong with my life) for several years by now, but when I’m not in a depressed mood (which is getting better as of late), I’m actually a person who is quite capable of enjoying what he has. Is my life perfect? I wouldn’t go that far, but I like to think that since I’m not chasing after infinite wealth and power and such that’ll be forever out of my reach, I’m doing pretty fine all things considered. I do not need to be the “biggest, richest, loudest” person in a room to feel good, as opposed to some quoted here...

Personally, I chalk my being satisfied up with the fact that I’m NOT a fundie. I’m rather an existentialist and an ethical hedonist; and those philosophies has worked out well for me.

I’ll let our Germany experts and natives here explain better, but if you ask me, no, wanting safer streets is not by itself the “HEIGHT of fascism”. However if said party is known for being far-right and spouting fascist slogans (so I heard) then of course Germany is going to be very careful considering its own history. History repeats after all.

Frankly, it’s kinda a shame that the fascist party is the one that gives the most appealing election promises to the masses there.
