So much for “innocent until proven guilty” I guess! And, like KeithInc said, how exactly is someone supposed to “prove they are not criminal”?? What does that even mean?
They will not have the rights of citizens and they will not have representation in government.
Well, OK, that’s kinda how it already is anyway, ain’t it? In the US, and I’d think most other countries, being granted asylum as a refugee doesn’t grant you citizenship, that’s a whole other process a person would have to go through.
