Anyway, yes I’m autistic (aspergers to be precise); I was officially diagnosed as late as age 16, where the doctors said that they were baffled nobody noticed it earlier. I suppose I have what most people would call “high functioning autism”, but that does not make me any less autistic as a whole. As long as I’m in my comfort zone(*), I can function for the most part. But take me too much outside of it and I get borderline panic attacks. My autism certainly qualifies me enough to get some disability discounts, amongst others.

(*)And I’ve been working hard for years to expand my comfort zone.
