There must be a reason these DISABILITES ARE MORE SEVERE and increasing demand is a nice way of saying, MORE STUDENTS WHO CANNOT FUNCTION WITHOUT HELP.
Like @JeanP said, it couldnāt be that the disabilities arenāt really āmore severe,ā weāre just better at diagnosing them now?? Dare I say, I think I kinda know what Iām talking about here, seeing how as Iām now 48, was diagnosed with autism in my mid-30s, and itās not like that was a thing I suddenly got, Iāve been that way all my life. I was even evaluated back in my elementary school days, and Iām pretty sure they never said anything about autism, people (or at least the people working at the elementary school in the ā80s, anyway) barely knew what that was back then.
Also, arenāt teachers and staff at schools supposed to help students, whether neurodivergent or not??
